Suburban Chicago fishing

Those "Wally's" that you catch; out your way. We see them here, only in pictures ha! I am approx. 30 miles due west, as the pigeon flies  from downtown Chicago. Born/raised here. The best suburban fishing is at the old ponds and small lakes. There isn't any attractions there. And so low pressure all these years, and catch and release; has left good quantity of large mouth, crappie, northern, cat. When affordable, perch,, salmon, trout, on the big lake. Unfortunately the cops can't open up parking at Montrose harbor, until ridiculous morning time. Well beyond 4am. due to gang activity. 63rd St. Dock ok. And only Whiting, Indiana for "safe" docking for boat traffic, ad or shore fishing. The local "holes" hold good sizes 16"-21" bass, walleye have sight specific 18" or larger - Silver Spring Lake; and Busse Lake. D.N.R.keep raising size limit. No sooner start to see 16's they raised up the size limit to 17. Started to see 17's, and they put it up to 18. Forcing some out there to "at" under size fish into plastic bags to sneek out. Bad economics or sumthin.? Overall a most enjoyable time on the water, or shore. Good weather, fishing, cook out, meet new "reel-nuts"; you know the type. They'd rather be fishing than working ! And we meet old friends, and we remember those that are no longer with us. How important those pictures friends. Hell ! That's why I sign in. I saw the pics ! God bless all of ya ! Thanx
