Winter Trolling

Recommended Posts

Hi, I am going to be a Keuka Lake for a few days after christmas for some duck hunting, I was thinking about trolling for some trout in the afternoon. Would planerboards and stickbaits be the proper program to run this time of year? I have never really fished in the winter but I would imangine the fish would be shallow. Any thoughts would be helpful thanks.

everything should be from the surface to 90 ft ,stickbait back 100 to150 ft for browns ,actually anything in purple ,green, natural colors should work ,speed 1.5 to 2.6 depending what yer going for. yes to the plainer board .if i were going for stix blk and silver ,purple and silver, jrs. or smaller.
