  2. I can't wait ta see this.
  3. I kn I'll ruffle some feathers. But after using the Hawk for 15 years or so every day I switched over to the Raider. Do yourself a favor and look into Depth-Raider or Sub-Troll. A lot less problem's all the way around as well as good support if you should have a question or problem.
  4. Hunt: you might want to watch this tread. http://fishing.lakeontariounited.com/vi ... .php?t=718 It's covering the same topic your asking about.
  5. With a thru hull transducer we can mark fish going over 25mph up on plane and mark them clearly. I find that hard to believe. Bait yes. Individual fish and or fish? Furuno is a great unit, but seeing fish at 25 mph or knt's is pushing it. I'll have to take a ride with you or Jim some time.
  6. Ray: Good talking to you this morning. I hope I was some help. I'll let you know about the other deal when I talk with Steve. Coffees on me next time I come thru your way.
  7. Here Ya Go. Open communication and all. http://www.lakeontarioproam.com/Pro_AmO ... __2007.htm Radio Use and Restriction: All participating boats must be equipped with an operational VHF radio and GPS unit. The GPS unit is critical to the proper scoring of the catch and must remain functional at all times. Open communication will be in effect throughout the tournament. NOTE: This rule is designed for captain to captain communication ONLY. The tournament committees strongly suggest that any communication between captains and their observers be mutually agreed upon at the Captain’s meeting. Not everyone will want to communicate and the committees ask that everyone respect each others’ wishes with regard to this issue. Tournament control will monitor Channel 16 and all boats will be directed to Channel 9 for announcements. It is the responsibility of the teams to maintain contact with tournament control in the event of foul weather.
  8. Scroll thru this thread, and read BlueEye's posts. It will explain that there are still a few small bug's to be worked out and there being addressed as time permits, and this is one of them. http://fishing.lakeontariounited.com/vi ... highlight=
  9. I know where there is a center box not being used I can probably get my hands on.. ( between seats) But not so sure about the deck box. I've got to give you a call later anyhow about the trailer deal. I'll let you know then.
  10. Stix: Your right FCV667. If you have the room for it, there isnt a better unit out there for the money. Just old school talkin here.
  11. Center hatch behind the seats in the middle of the deck should have a box under it unless the box has been removed. It was standard from Penn Yan for that year boat. Under the center hatch between the seats should also have a removable box under it.

    scuppers

If you feel as if you have to do away with them. Instead of drilling holes etc. for sheet metal. Look into standard automotive expansion soft plugs. (The rubber type you tighten the nut to lock them in.) Paint them after there in place and your all set. I'm thinking there is probably about a 2" hole thought the hull once you pull the old one's out.
  13. Ray: Relax: I havent even talked to Steve or Mark. Man is busy with more things than one.
  14. This product works well for sealing rivets. It can be purchased at other places as well. It won't break free or come loose once you apply it to a cleaned surface. Check it out
  15. Dang I was serious too. See where that got me.
  16. Can I come too? Would like to see some new trick's.
  17. Run standard round balls, what ever weight your riggers can handle. With down and out's off the outer riggers. Unless there is a h*ll of a lot of down current you won't have any problems. Sides that D&O's catch a lot a fish. I don't run anything but them on the outside rigger's in deeper water. Just my two cent's But I'm new to this, might not work for everyone.
  18. Whow: Ya can tell it' mid winter and 5 below.
  19. Sorry I didnt get back before now. Give me a call. I'll mail you the number and yes you can put a delco on it. Not a problem. Starter for the 50hp might be.
  20. pmjasper : Every day is different in the spring, colored water, clear water, as well as other variables. Year around for that matter.. But there are a few tried and proven in the spring but nobody can say what is going to work from year to year. When your ready to come up in the spring, I'll be more than happy to let you kn what's going on and where, as well as what to use. I'm only 7 miles from Sodus, and most of us fish the same water. Jim (Abe) is a good man as well. He has many years up here on the water and he won't steer you wrong when you get here. Feel free to give a call on ch. 14 (call is L&M) or mail me before you come up.
  21. Steve is a big fan of these rods, or was if he is still using them. Maybe he'll chirp in on this one. I've seen them but never used them. Old school here. Open guides, and Ugly Sticks all the way.
  22. Dam Stix: What do ya do in your free time. And let's not get carried away with the grey beard part. I've been around a long time to get that.
  23. http://radar.weather.gov/radar.php?rid= ... 1&loop=yes Refresh it. It'll give you an idea of where the band is.
