  1. oh so true Tom B. (LongLine)
  2. With that as your layout, I'd definitely run the forward rigg'rs shallower than the rear ones and only take very gradual turns. Also keep an eye on the currents. (I'm thinking that if you ran the forward ones deeper then blowback would take those lines closer to the rear ones & added potential for tangles.) Tom B. (LongLine)
  3. Take a look at these: http://www.mcmaster.com/#cut-to-length- ... es/=kgarif Tom B. (LongLine)
  4. If one of the twins poops out, you still have one heck of an engine to back home with. If I won the lottery, you can bet I go for outboards...3 or 4 of them with a 100 hp kicker. Tom B. (LongLine)
  5. Ray - measure up 7 inches from the lower right hand corner of the screen at a 45 deg angle. At that spot, give it 7 medium raps with the handle of a 7 inch pipe wrench. If you do it to 7 monitors, I'm sure you'll find 14 pieces of glass. Tom B. (LongLine)
  6. Something to think about is that environmentalists wanted the lake to have higher highs and lower lows to help restore & improve the wetlands. This shoud certainly test their theory. As for natural repro', I'd think it's going to hurt. However don't sell the boat. Tom B. (LongLine)
  7. Patriot - They stock them all over the place. Read down a ways on this link to find out where they put them. http://www.dec.ny.gov/outdoor/64710.html Tom B. (LongLine)

  11. Many thanx to the fine people that operate the hatcheries and support the fishery. For the fishery all across the state, do you know who raises/does what? Tom B. (LongLine) p.s. hint: begins with a "C" and has an "a" in it.
  12. Very nice Pete. The kids will remember that trip. Tom B. (LongLine)
  13. Happy Thanksgiving to all. Tis a time to reflect on everything we are thankful for in our lives...Family, friends, health & a silver lining to every dark cloud....and a lake full of fish to catch. Tom B. (LongLine)

  17. Definitely honey bees. Thinking the Co. name is Tamiron or something like that. Tom B. (LongLine)
  18. Welcome to the addiciton. My advice: 1. Don't leave home without the rigg'rs! 2. Spend more on reels than rods. Smooth drag is very important. 3. Landing a salmon on a 10ft rod is much different than using the same setup on a 6 1/2 ft'r. 4. Go for the torpedo or fish shaped weights. Stay away from balls and pancakes. Blowback and getting/keeping them adjusted properly (respectively) and be challenging, almost frustrating. When you buy rigg'r 's, make sure you know the capacity of them. Don't put a 20Lb weight on a rigg'r thats only rated for 15. 5. NEVER put the engine in reverse with rigg'rs out. Boat control is very important. 6. Don't take safety for granted!!!!! 7. Secure your gear when you're done fishing. There's too dang much thievery (sp - people stealing stuff) going on nowadays. 8. Get ideas on lures by looking thru the report sections. Look thru the classifieds or on-line to purchase gear. You have to know what you're looking for but sometimes can make a killing. Also look at the tournament results and scroll back thru some of the tweets. They often give good hints as to what was working at that time of year. (LOC, Pro-Am) Good Luck Tom B. (LongLine)
  19. Looks like the netman could use a little bigger net... Tom B. (LongLine) (Nice fish)
  20. Happy BD there BD. Tom B. (LongLine)
  21. Yeah, they moved to the other end of the lake. Tom B. (LongLine) BTW I thought they were "Quebecksters."
  22. Well the biggest wave in the middle of the lake was 19.4Ft at 6:50 pm yesterday. I image it was quite a bit bigger when it got closer to us. Hope everyone is okay. Tom B. (LongLine)
  23. Happy birthday Pete, here's a cake for ya. Tom B. (LongLine)
  24. All righ-teee - more defense spending...that'll help the economy. The actual reason for less water in our area is the population explosion just west of Toronto to Niagara falls. All those extra people add a lot of weight to that end of the lake and the lake is tipping that way. Tom B. (LongLine)
  25. Don't you dare go floating around out there Ray. I agree with Stan. There's laws against water pollution. Tom B. (LongLine)
