  5. What do you get when you cross a dyslexic, an insomniac and an agnostic? Someone who lies awake at night wondering if there really is a dog. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  8. I just can't get around the concept of drilling a 2" hole in the bottom of a perfectly good hull
  9. That depends on where they were fishing. Some bodies of water have special regs.

  11. If there are coho around, run a red mini dodger and penut fly, 2-3 feet down and 8 feet back, right in the prop wash. Strikes are savage 😉 Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  12. Why on earth not? I've used nothing but Trilene for as long a I can remember. Never had a complaint with it. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  13. Unfortunately, the Lockport meeting is never as well attended as we would like to see. We really need to fill the room this year.
  14. OK so the rubber bands pull the coat hanger wire against the edges of the sidewalls of the spool, providing the spool tension?
  15. Shimano Triton TR200G. Same great drags as the Charter Specials, just star drag instead of lever drag, and half the price. Best rigger reel on the market IMO and for $65.00-$69.00 you can't beat it.

  18. I'm buying that 1989 221 Islander hardtop that was in the classifieds.
  19. They are one of my favorites with a good mudline. In clearer water, there are better options IMO. They aren't really a "stealthy" presentation, they are a "get their attention" presentation.
  20. Thanks guys
  21. Never lose your ignorance, you can't replace it.
  22. I just bought an 8hp Tohatsu 4 stroke kicker. I'm pretty sure I won't be able to transfer my Simrad AP14 over to the boat I'm buying and run it on the power assisted main motor with an EZ steer to the kicker with the main engine off without burning up the Simrad. I was looking at the Garmin TR1 Gold for the kicker, but they don't have a model specifically for the Tohatsu. My question is, Tohatsu makes a lot of the smaller 4 stroke outboards out there including the Nissan line and smaller Mercury 4 strokes less than 40 HP. I know the Nissan and Tohatsu motors are the exact same unit with different badging applied to the engines, are the 4 stroke Mercs also the exact same engine? Does anyone know if I can use the 8hp Merc model TR1 on the Tohatsu, and if so, is it a direct install or are there mods that need to be made? I'm not aware of any other AP options out there for kickers, the Panther Electro Steer is a remote steering option, but it's not an AP. Thanks, Tim
  23. I just bought the Tohatsu 8hp elec start. Now hoping I can find an AP that will work on it. Unless the Merc model works since it's really a re-badged Tohatsu anyway, the TR1 Gold doesn't have a model for that engine specifically. Pretty sure I can add the Panther electro-steer if I have to, but that's not really an AP, just a remote steering system.
