  1. is he worth the money... who cares, his salary isn't coming out of your pocket. i'm not a bills fan but this is a step in the right direction. they have the draft coming up. if they can some help there they will be a couple of pieces closer. don't get down on your team, be happy they spent some money. this is from a giants fan that cheered for them in the 60's and 70's when they sucked.
  2. For landlocks and rainbows I use Northport Nailers in the 100 size. The must have is the mashed banana. On a sunny afternoon in the summer it works pretty good. There are 4 or 5 others that do good too. They have a different bend in them and the action is great. They are an over looked choice in spoons that catch silver fish.
  3. he is a beast. congrats on the signing. if you have a good offensive line and a good defensive line you will win games.
  4. we only had 4 hours so we stayed close to the park. went as far south as crow bar point and north to the scout camp.
  5. It was a slow day for us. Fished from 9-1. We had trouble finding the fish. We were 3 for 3 on some nice landlocks. they were 19-25 inches and came on 3 different baits. the fish seemed to be shallower than the last time i was there. the fish were in about 25fow. we did 1 fish north of the park and 2 south. the launch is still shallow but doable for small to medium boats. watch the bubbler straight off the dock it was about a foot off the bottom. the area from the bridge to the lake is 5ft deep.
  6. how did they get it in the boat? i'm suprised they didn't sink. holy crap!!!
  7. I have lenco electrics. They have been on the boat since it was new 2005. Never had a problem with them.
  8. I run a lot of stickbaits for browns and you should buy them, but don't overlook spoons. Once the sun gets up high the spoons start taking fish. Look at regular michagan stingers and Dream Weaver SS spoons. I like natural colors but browns do like color too. Alot of the lure choice has to do with the clarity of the water. If it is stained colors work good.
  9. up to 400ft of lead we run on walleye boards. over that you have to use the big boards.
  10. put trim tabs on and your problems will be solved when you learn how to use them. I have the lenco electrics and love them. I can have 3 guys on the port side of the boat and I make the adjustment in the tabs and my boat is running even. If i put the tabs all the way down before i throttle up the boat is up on plane instantly. If you put them on you have to play with them and learn how to use them.
  11. i put ice and water in my live well and throw them in alive. i am going to try gilling them this year.
  12. great game.... giants, super bowl champions again!!!
  13. do you remember which transducer you used.
  14. I already have a stand a lone GPS but I thought a spare would be good too. I really like the screen of the lowrance but if i have problems with it what is going to happen?! Does anyone have the 585 with a transom mount transducer? if so how does it work and which one do you have.
  15. Which one is better, Lowrance HDS 8 or Furuno 585. I would go with a p66 transducer. I like the lowrance but am scared of some issues with their customer service. I looked at the Hummingbird 958 and that one is out of my list.
  16. 40# mono works to keep most of the fleas off, then leader down to your 15 or 20.. Breaded line collect fleas.
  17. I run Malin wire too and never had any problems. I like the smoke color but have run silver also and have noticed little to no difference. 20# wire is good stuff and will get you more depth. I have used it on other boats and never had any problems. You will not have a problem with the 20# because you have used wire for several years and know how to run it. I would not recommend it to someone with no experence with wire.
  18. I like it. It is helpful for when you have 1 or 2 guys on the boat. It really lets you cover the water column better.
