  3. Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name:hideout ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s):4/30-5/1 Time on Water: 7am -2 pm Weather/Temp:light winds. 60's Wind Speed/Direction: Waves: Surface Temp: Location: olcott/wilson LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: Total Boated: 20 Species Breakdown: salmon/lakers Hot Lure: NK THAT spoon Trolling Speed: vary Down Speed: 2.5-3.2 Boat Depth: 65-120 Lure Depth: 25 to bottom ==================== Got the boat in the water for the first time this year, Friday fished out of oclott and did not have to go far to find the fish we went 8 for 8 mostly kings with a few lakers mixed in. biggest king was slightly over 20. Friday was a all spoon bite with the hottest spoon being the NK THAT spoon which took 6 fish. Saturday all the water moved west so we went to the bar. Another mixed bag of kings and lakers, did some fish on fly's/spn doctors early in the morning but spoons again did most of the fish. We are now getting ready for the Scotty this upcoming weekend if we dont get blown off the lake. ====================

  8. John, why should it matter, you got the boat to cruise around not fish. Rob
  9. I agree trout beeds work good but some days fresh eggs you just cant beat.
  10. If you go online there are a bunch of websites. I personally do not cure my eggs, i let them air dry in a strainer for 3 to 4 hours or until they get filmy on the top layer and then i freeze them.
  11. Jax, next year wait a little longer to find storage. Rob
  12. Looked like a nice evening to be on the water. Sucks about the probe, i know the feeling we lost one earlier in the season. Rob
  13. Not sure if i have ever had a spoon take more fish then that one.
  14. John, 50 to 60 ft down temps were low 50's. We were having problems with the depth raider connection so a lot of the time we were just working differnt water columns to find them.
  15. We were all surprised we made it that long especailly when we were out deeper, it was brutal
  16. Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name: ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s): 8/30 Time on Water: 6 am to 12 pm Weather/Temp: 70 Wind Speed/Direction: 20 sw/w Waves: horrible Surface Temp: Location:sandy creek LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: 15 Total Boated:12 Species Breakdown: kings, steelhead Hot Lure: hammer fly, green crinkle, frog ss Trolling Speed: 3.1 Down Speed: 2.5 Boat Depth: 250-50 Lure Depth: 50 to 80 ==================== Started in 80 ft nw troll out of the creek worked out to 500, fought the occasional 8 footer. Steady pick of steelhead and kings, biggest king was 20 lbs, started to get fish in 350 fow, wires were most productive for kings, 2.5 setting out 150,along with the 300 copper in close second. probably roughest i have been in all year. ====================
  17. Got to Oswego thursday afternoon and decided to venture out to deeper water, set up in 250 an trolled nw once we got to 400 we found bait and hooks all over the screen, we landed 8 fish biggest being slightly over 30 lbs. Was mostly a spoon bite, stingray emerald shiner with crushed glow tape took the big boy. Big fish friday. Set up at the waypoints from the day before and the screen was the same bait and fish everywhere, we had consistent bites all day and was able to land a nice 26 lber which i believe got us 4th place in the big fish tourney just shy of the money. Sat. Again hit the same waypoints, screen was loaded but fish were not active, early morning we went 1 for 3 with a good king which was around 27 lbs. As the morning went on the fishing started to pick up, we did another king around 18 lbs and lost 2 at the back of the boat , 1 being a slob. had only 2 fish After day one but we were in 14th place. Sun. Headed out in the same direction nw of the harbor, looked at my raymarine and it was out, while we were frantically trying to solve the problem I told my buddy to start putting lines out, he dropped a #4 green glow j plug down 90 ft and it fired immediatley with a 17 lb king, was able to find the loose connection and get the unit back up. We would get another rip on the rigger a short time after but lost the fish after a short fight. We would not get another hit until 12:30, we put a silver bullet j plug on the wire out 300 and it took A 25 LB king, we decided to change the program once again and ran all j plugs and it paid off, we ended up boxing out in the last hour, 1 fish was 20 1/4 inches long which was probably being dragged on the copper for a hour so we took a chance with it and by the time weigh in came it was a hair short. We ended the tourney in 10th place. This was our first scotty and it was a blast. Rob
  18. lol. it is a mystery. One of my buddy's saw a post on another forum so we tried it. very strange

Scott,I know there is a troubleshooting number in the manual you can call and explain the problem snd they will walk you through some possible solutions.I used to lose my single around 100 ft down,i wrapped a wet paper towel around the antenna and the signal was good down 180 ft down. no clue why this works.
