  3. Heres a pic of my 8 year old son with his 17# King from yesterday which also happens to be his largest catch to date. He wanted zero help from the rest of the crew, so we turned him loose on this fish, and he brought it to the net.
  4. yeah the best thing to do is listen to what others are doing. it may help and it may not. FYI, The inside bite was not existent for me this am.
  5. follow the tournament on facebook... http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Sandy- ... 9143416878
  6. Spoons- Dreamweaver super slims and Michigan Stinger are deadly for Browns. They are both very speed tolerable. Stickbaits- some days they like big stuff and other days smaller stuff. rapalas, thundersticks, renegades, etc all work well Play with colors till you find common ground, pay alot of attention to speed (start slow 2mph), and adapt.
  7. Keep your radio on and tuned to 72. Water temp will dictate everything... wont hurt to try the shallow bite early.
  8. Great stuff! Congrats!

  10. Left the dock this morning and trolled due north, right out of the pier heads. The plan was to find slowly head offshore and hopefully find a deeper water bite. 2 riggers slowly became 4 riggers, a mix of stickbaits off the boards, and even a 8 color core down the chute. On the way out we boated 1 laker which took a stickbait off the board. After giving it a fair shot for 2+ hours, seeing very few fish, zero bait on the screen, and lots ice cold water we abandoned the deeper water and headed in tight. The inside waters have been very good to us and today wouldnt be any different. The mud plume just in front of the creek seemed to be loaded with fish and gave us some good action including multiple doubles. The second half of the morning produced a couple steelhead, 3 Atlantics, and a half a dozen Browns for us. A mix of sticks off the boards (with pink and chart the 2 best colors) and Blood Run Fluoro loaded with DW ss green halo and green dolphin 6' down on the riggers did all the work.
  11. Happy Birthday!
