i use an overhand knot between fly and flasher. No swivel just a direct connection.

I would highly recommend clover. If done right you can get 5-7 years out of a single planting.

I run a subtroll and love it. The units you should be looking at are the subtroll, x-4 fishhawk, and depth raider and you will be happy with any of the 3 units. Each unit has its small differences from one another (price, installation, display, etc). God knows theres plenty of posts on here about this subject so do some research.

on the lam, mine are black heartlands. All with twilli tips too.

Everything has its days! With that being said though i would prefer stealthy gear over anything and simply let the lures do the fishing.

Diawa heartland rods are what i run. They certainly take the abuse and they are reasonably priced too.

Im sure it cant hurt but i dont think its needed.

chad, the ice was all of 4.5" and its all good, clear ice. There was definetely a solid pike bite. I saw 5 iced while we were there.

But, in doing so you would just be killing yourself . Because Americans are not a particular people from a particular place. They are the embodiment of the human spirit of freedom. Everyone who holds to that spirit, everywhere, is an American.
