I would guess by the lack of daylight sign from this buck that he will continue to be a "phantom" during the rut and the window of opportunity he will give you may be a very small one. Judging purely on rack size he seems to be a 2 1/2 maybe a 3 1/2 year old. If i was a gambling man i would bet that his lack of an eye would make him "mature" for his age, more in tune with his other senses, and it may be the reason for his lack of daytime travel.

The rut moon this year falls on November 21 which is extremely late in the year. The belief is that when the rut occurs late in the season (like this year) that the rut is spread out over a longer period of time and a trickle rut happens.

I would have to agree, seems like brothers to me.

i would say four riggers just for the sake of having more options. some days 5 riggers would be great and others 3 is too much.
