  1. The 450 copper that the bigger fish took a smartfish on a 11:30 setting.
  2. Armed with reports that there was still good fishing in 200-300 fow we headed offshore this morning to this previous weekend's waypoints and setup in 240 fow. With an improved down temp but a screen that was virtually void of life we spread everything out (35'-100 down) looking for some active fish. It didnt take long for probe rigger parked at 75' to fire with a Stinger stingray NBK. Acting like big kings do, it started a big run, broke us off, and took our hardware with it. The riggers werent hot today but they did manage a few. Riggers 75', 50', and 40' down w/ NK NBKs and Stinger glow gators took fish. The diver rods and the 450 copper took most of the fish. 210' dipsey rod w/ a green double crush smartfish and 240' dipsey rod w/ a green on white smartfish took a couple of fish each. The fish over 20# today hit the 450' copper w/ a white double crush Smartfish pulling an Attomic SSW fly. We ended our morning 9 for 13 with nothing but quality fish. The majority of the catch being big kings (all over 15# w/ the biggest being 24#) but we also landed 2 nice steelhead (1 being 10-11#).
  3. Your best bet for Sandy Creek is to call Bruce Butcher (771-7172) from Sandy Creek Marina and see what he can do for you.
  4. I like it Mark! Even if your wife doesnt!
  5. Tommy Barbara owner of Pro Marine Services 392-7304 C- 737-8499. Hes the guy most of us use in Sandy. Good guy, great mechanic, and reliable too!
  6. I believe you can actually achieve greater depths with the torpedos. http://www.torpedodivers.com/charts.asp They really kill alot of the action from lead and copper but they do wonders on flatlines
  7. Translation: If my girlfirend does not go, I will not be allowed to go. Now thats funny!
  8. I have used the Stinger dive bombs on my leadcore rigs. It helps get down alitttle bit farther than you would normally. For every oz of dive bomb you achieve approx 8' of depth (trolling at 2.5 mph). Although you can achieve better depths with dive bombs and torpedo weights, running them on leadcore/ copper greatly affects the whipping and fluttering action. check out this video http://www.greatlakesfisherman.com/foru ... php?t=9966
  9. Leadcore, flatlines, or even copper shouldnt be a problem for most outriggers but the pull of a dipsey should be your only concern. I run Dotline outriggers on my boat. http://www.mengo-ind.com. They are aluminum and i reinforced them with a steel insert to give them a stronger backbone in the first 5'. I would search for steel outriggers but as long as you "baby" them aluminum will work. Unless the waves are over 3-4', i run my dipsey rods in the outriggers without any problems. They really are a great addition to any boat.
  10. If you stay away from live bait then the gobies wont bother you so much. jigs and casting sticks works great but trolling with cranks and sticks also works well.
  11. Jimmy should have anything your looking for. http://www.hammerheadchartersandtackle.com/page8.html
  12. Boatino, they paid the top 3 places. i believe the open events are 100% payouts (based on entry) plus merchandise and gift certificates
