Put floro. leaders on your flea flicker and your 15 lb big game. I would go with 8 or 10 lb test and 20 foot or so long. Early spring: If your fishing alone, run one rod with a spoon off a rigger with a long lead off the ball and put a stick bait on another rod and run t off a board. Concentrate on 5 to 20 fow depending on conditions. If your fishing 4 rods, go with 2 shallow riggers and 2 boards. Glen

If it helps you, I run 8' foot Tolara roller rods and like them just fine. I don't believe you will miss the extra foot and a half unless you need it to get outside a rigger or want to run more than one diver per side or something like that. Glen

If you are talking about Browns or Rainbows don't worry about the flashers and flys. If your talking about lakers anything will work with brigtht colors probably the best.

I was hoping to get an intelligent response, hopefully with some facts to back up the statement and instead I got you. My hopes of an intelligent response and ANY facts are gone. I would spool up with 65 lb power pro and 20 lb floro leaders for the dipsys. 65 lb will be better for fleas. Never ran braid on my riggers so I won't comment on it. Again you need to consider fleas. I run Ande mono off riggers and Flea Flicker when the season dictates it. Glen

I run my dipsys on 7 strand Malin wire. 8-12 inch snubber with a 7 or 8 foot 20 lb leader from dipsy to lure. I run Shimano Tekota 600lc's on Shimano Tolara roller guide rods and couldn't be happier. Catch alot of fish on them. Glen

This is what I was told was the case all along the lake in 2009. Makeing their natural reproduction estimates very unreliable at that point. Like you stated Lee, who knows for sure. Glen

If you are new to the sport and read this post, please do not think that downrigger blow back is desireable. It's not. Most normal people will go to heavier weights when fishing deep to minimize blowback. I can just see the poor guy out there. "Maybe we need some more blow back." I am with the majority here GFO. Atomic torpedoes are very good. Shark weights are good also but expensive. Glen

The nuimber of tagged fish I was given early last summner was more like 65 maybe 70% If this 99 percent is a valid number when did this increase take place? Are you gageing your estimates based on a clipping numbers that was just acheived last fall? They have been estimating natural reproduction much longer than the trailer has been in operation. Glen

After talking to the DEC guy checking fish at the proams I have come to the conclusion the natural reproduction "ESTIMATES" are not at all accurate and are very possibly way over estimated. There are alot of Kings being put into that lake that are NOT fin clipped and chip implanted and from what I am told this is the criteria used to make the estimations. Glen

I would just like to buy my fish from the classified section. But if you do post a report could you please list the Long and Lat numbers, manufacturere of the lure, size, color, depth of water fished, direction of troll, speed and temp over ground and at ball, different presentations used and how many fish caught on each, time of day, wind direction and speed and any other weather related information that might be pertinent to a successful fishing trip?
