  2. On my old Fishawk 840 it could. I mounted the transducer on the opposite side of the transom and ran the wires down the opposite side of the boat and never had any problem. Glen

  4. Happy New Year to you Steve!!! Good to see ya on the board. Thats 91 longggg slowwww days. Tell myself every year at this time."It won't be long" IT IS. Glen
  5. Boga grip is the best I've used. If I'm fishing C&R it's always best to release the fish off the side or back of the boat without weighing or pictures. Especially once the water warms up. Glen
  6. All depends where the fish are in the water column but I will generally start with 3 riggers and one wire. Attractors and flys and spoons. Then let the rods and the fish finder tell you what or what not to do. Glen
  7. Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Years. Glen

  10. Automakers suing EPA over higher ethanol mix gas WASHINGTON — Automakers and engine manufacturers are suing the Environmental Protection Agency over a plan to allow the sale of gasoline containing 15 percent ethanol. The Obama administration ruled in October that gas stations could start selling the ethanol blend for vehicles built since the 2007 model year. It's an increase from the current blend of 10 percent ethanol. In the lawsuit, the trade groups question whether the EPA's approval for E15 fuels for only certain vehicles violates the federal Clean Air Act. They say the engines could be damaged by too much corn-based fuel. The ethanol industry has said the agency should have allowed the higher blend for more vehicles. The petition was filed in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.
  11. Happy birthday Sliderbite. Glen
  12. Everything seemed quite appropriate to me. Glen
  13. Ain't no self respecting fish going to "elect" to hit that bait. They are much smarter than that. Glen
  14. Owner is what I've been running the last 3 or 4 seasons. Glen
  15. Personally I would rather pay the half a buck and get a better hook. It's been a few years since I ran Eagle Claw or VMC but if they are the same as they were back then VMC were better between the two. Really disliked the inward bend at the business end of the Eagle Claws and had more than one bend or break with only one of the three hooks in the fish. Was also difficult to sharpen. Again this was a few years ago so maybe they have changed since then. Glen
  16. If you want to put it on a Convector I would go with a 45. Glen
  17. If you really believed that BS Ice you should insist on Titanium. A far superior material than what you are using now. Send me a deposit and I'll quote you a set. Fully machined, Titanium rod holders. You WILL be very happy with them. Started running plastic rod holders on my riggers in 1994. No issues to date. Glen
  18. Pound for pound many plastics are stronger than steel. More wear resistant, non corrosive, lighter and cheaper to manufacture thus holding down purchase prices. Enter the 21st centurey Iceman. Glen
  19. Very sorry to hear you lost a friend Hank. Condolences to you and the family. Glen
  20. I am forced to agree Richard. Glen Unless you keep losing fish during a tournament that is! RR Or breaking sh_t !!!
