I also have a 16 ft boat but ya use what ya got. I use downriggers ,dipseys and leadcore. I use a handheld gps and have a decent fish finder. Downspeed would be nice. I just fish on days that don't get too rough and don't go too far out. Sometimes I get fish and sometimes I don't but that's fishin. The last week has been awesome up and down the lake.

Are you sure you got an Atlantic or was it a Brown? Good goin. Nice to know the fish are still around.

Like Paul said switch to 30 pound mono and clean every 20 minutes. I did this the other day and did not have any problems reeling in fish, although it is a lot more work. But better than working.

Finally got out with my boat yesterday and we did well like everyone else. Fished 200 fow east of the creek. Went 10 for 13 with 5 decent teenage kings 15 - 20 lbs. My buddy had a great time. I'm glad we did not get anything too big cause he was not in the derby. Had hits on spoons and paddles with Wonderbread SD with Atommik Hammer taking 4 kings. Can't wait to get out again.

Nice goin. Lil rough yesterday huh. We were out till 11:00 off of Sandy and it was rockin. The fishin is awesome right now. Hopefully the fish stick around for a while.

Maybe? Had my boat in there 3 weeks ago and had about 1.5 feet going out. Lots of sand. B careful you should be able to make it as long as it's not too choppy.
