  1. Those guys were really disappointed with the fog delay, so not to give up the morning, they bought all kinds of casting gear at Mitchel's so that they can cast for those beautiful Browns. Once again, great job Rick.
  2. Crazy Yankee Ran into a couple of guys from Maine yesterday. They were raving about the fishing they had the day before. I asked who they chartered with and they said Crazy Yankee. I told them that they were with one of the best and I'm not surprised at the number of fish landed. Way to go Rick. You have definitely made these guys want to do it again and again.

    Ponds

Ponds Anyone know if the ice is gone from the lakeshore ponds?
  4. 7's & 9's on the Rapalas. No they are not too big.
  5. Try running your meat clean on a longer lead ( no flasher ). Run it along the bottom.
  6. I'm taking some out of stater's fishing this afternoon. Not Derby fishing. Can anyone share some info on what's going on out there. Thanks in advance.
  7. Headed east out of the creek and set up in 60fow. We stayed in that 55-60. A lot of bait and marks. Good Brownie water. We had 5 bites and landed 5, 3 browns and 2 salmon. I skippy and one mid teens. The browns were 8, 10, and just under 16lbs. The current leader in the LOC. Just a beautiful hook jawed male. Don't expect it to hold on and it doesn't matter.
  8. In the water at 5am. Took a look inside, lots of bait and some hooks. Set up in 100fow and went north. First fish 12lb brown, mupped up sea sick waddler parked at 95ft. That set up took 5 fish. 200FOW was good for us all morning. We went 9 for 12, 8 kings to 20lbs and the one Brown. Laser Spook took fish, meat took fish off the divers parked at 280 and 300 on a 3 setting. Down temps were 44 degrees at 95ft over 200 fow.
  9. Fishing Sandy Wednesday, any info would be appreciated.
  10. I run 25lb Maxima and I've not had any issues with fleas. Been using it for years. I get way more on the wire.
  11. I don't really know you guys, Rich, Steve, and Mark, but I can say that I really enjoy your posts. They are detailed and lots of info is passed along. Over the years, I have read Steve's reports and The Yankees reports as well as Marks from the past. You guys are outstanding fishermen and it shows in your catches. Above all else all of you are class acts. Tight lines and may those releases continue to pop.
  12. Left the chute and headed out towards the west. Set up in 60-65 fow. Trolled to 90 fow and took a mid teens laker white with green dot spinny and glow green Atomik Fly. 60 feet down. Same water, same set up mid teens king. Same water NBK spinny and fly takes a low teens laker. Went to 140fow and took a 10 lb king on a NBK Stingray 45 down. Trolled to 165 and doubled on skippys. Green dolphin, stingray size and NBK again. Came back in to 140 and finished up with a decent steely on the surface reeling in the diver rod. All in all a decent day for us with some quality fish.
  13. Where is everyone getting their meat strips? S&R none, mitchels, none, slippery sinker, none.
  14. Left the shute and trolled east. Took our first fish east of cowsucker. We would take 5 more between watoma and lighthouse polnt. Good class of Browns with 3 fish at 10lbs or better. Goby pattern sticks and spoons took a couple but white sticks took the bigger fish. Good color along the shoreline. Found 52 degree water around watoma.
