  1. OMG! This fish will definitely make my day! Thanks for sharing this beautiful picture!
  2. This is outrageous. Let alone a veteran who has served our country. Nobody should ever be harmed like this. BamBam - you did the right thing to stop this nonsense beating. Hope Bill gets better soon.
  3. Tom, I have shared this article with the science teachers in our school. At first this teacher contended that we were wrong about being against this just because we wanted to protect our fishing grounds, however he has changed his position after he read your post. This is why we must continue to be heard by the folks behind the desk in the government buildings. Anthony
  4. Thanks guys! I will add a photo of the "blue watermelon" stick bait I mentioned for proper identification. Jax - you got me to pay attention to the Cindy bombers. Hope you were able to get your hands on them.
  5. Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name: ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s): April 11, 2010 Time on Water: 9 am - 12 pm Weather/Temp: Cool high 40's Wind Speed/Direction: Waves: 2-4 Choppy Surface Temp: 46 Location: Ibay - webster Park LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: 2 Total Boated:1 Species Breakdown: Brown Hot Lure: stickbaits - pink and blue watermelon Trolling Speed: 2.4 Down Speed: Boat Depth: 8-15 Lure Depth: ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS ==================== Weather forecast was wrong! Instead of rain, It was sunny and brisk out there. Lake was choppy. Started right out of Ibay inlet. We did eastern troll with the direction of the waves heading our way. Ran 2 rods each on planer boards and two riggers. Hot lures: stickbaits Pink Cindy Bomber and blue watermelon. No rigger action. Too choppy to run the lures properly. First hit - a buddy fought the fish for about 15 minutes. Huge brown only 50 yards away. He did not make it as the big one got away. Approaching Webster park. Hooked another one off board. About 10 minutes fight with this nice brown trout. I was not sure if it was Atlantic. Nevertheless, released the fish successfully. Did not have scale on board. On my to do checklist, bring the scale to the boat. Passed Webster park. On the way back to the west, it got nasty with the waves. Pulled rods in and called it for the day.
  6. Gill-T Thanks for the additional info about the lakers. I will definitely pay attention to the contour line. Tight lines. PH
  7. Great job on the lakers. You have certainly nailed them. I was out in front of I bay and the color of the water looked good - all stained green. I saw similar activities in between 20 to 35 FOW. So many marks on the screen. After reading your post, I will bring my dodgers and flies the next time I head out.
  8. Nice work! About the water level, I am not sure if I have ever seen it so low in early April. I wonder if our lake water level gets increased at some point in the spring. We went out on Saturday very late in the morning 9:30 a.m. - noon. Only managed one steelhead with a pink thunderstick over 25 FOW. Tons of fish were marked in 30 FOW in front of Ibay. After reading Thurmond post, they got to be mostly lakers. Tried several spoons but no dice. I did not even bring flasher and flies on board! Tight lines. PH
  9. There goes the saying, "Nothing makes the fish bigger than when it is almost caught!" Sorry to hear about the mishap. You will be sharing this tale with your grandchildren.
