  2. another awesome day on the lake! went west a Olcott alil and setup in 100fow.. 41degrees down 60.. no bait, no fish that i found on the inside waters after a hour of pokin around in there.. pointed the boat north... first fish 180fow 140back on wire with a skeins screamer combo.. next few fish came on this combo.. other wire diver 120 back w/ green dolp spin doc and Crazy**** fly took few shots as well.. both setups went dead after a bit.. changed riggers and divers up to all spin docs and copper rods with meat.. rods started movin good for a bit.. B-fly, Hammer, Pro-am , all taking fish ... BIG fish at that... proam fly with a Live Wire spin doc back 110 on wire diver takes a nasty rip followed by a 500ft line scream!! get it to the boat and thought i needed a bigger net!! and the end result 28.03lb few others for the day 9 fish this morning with some solid kings!!

  7. got the GF up at 445am to do alil trolling before she makes me go to the family picnic.. action was HOT this morn! we went 13 for 19 before 11am... water temp was 56degrees down 60ft when the day started but there were alot of good marks in that water .. as the day went on the cooler water was coming up.. 43degrees down 60 at 11am.. spin docs did most damage matched up with Attomik flies.. spoons took a few as well the blood bath starts and the results of pic above my turn and the results of that the boat is a complete mess by are 11am finish
  8. check out this website for color combos.. http://www.atommiktrollingflies.com/category.htm
  9. fishing has been good infront of olcott in 80-150fow.. things could and prolly will change this weekend im sure... NE wind expected for Fri..
  10. just a awesome fish!! congrats to the kid that caught it!
  11. all ways will work.. its just a personal preference
  12. i run the spoons as they come out of the package.. and use a good ball bearing snap swivel on the main line and connect with that
  13. i dont run my flashers anymore than 30ft from the ball. and usually is between 10-15ft.. watch the fishfinder also... fish streaking into your set ill run my gear tight to the ball... if im not making anything ill run longer leads as the fish could be getting spooked by the boat..
  14. or half hitch the fly to the spin doc
  15. there is catch and release all yr now on ontario
  16. that was Mr A-Tom-Mik himself!!! nice fish Tom!.. fish came in at 29.09 i beleive
  17. i beleive the directions for the DR say to hook direct to the battery... i did it that way
  18. im running the diawa 47 accudepth plus reels on my rigger rods.. no problems with them so far and they have seen plenty of fish... did not like those reels for wire divers tho
  19. can buy them here http://www.atommiktrollingflies.com/tourney.htm
  20. copper is becoming so popular i just figure every boat is using it and steer clear.. its usually in my spread 95% of the time! plus i try to stay away from the pack of boats
  21. 7strand 30lb is fine for kings.. alot of guys use 20lb also.. the 30 seems to be more user freindly .. the twilli tips can be put on at the boat without a problem.. u will need some sort of glue or epoxy to fasten them on the rods.. as for connecting your wire to the dipsey.. buy some large sampo swivels and use the wire knot to attach them http://www.lotsa.org/Wire%20Line%20Knot.htm .. then from your dipsey attach your leader to your bait
  22. spoon- Stinger Hawg Wild in the stingray size fly- Atomik Hammer spindoc- white crushed glow
