    Stupid easy fun fishing continues along the Niagara County shoreline. Water is still cold with 36 degrees the warmest found today along shore. Brown spread consisted of six board lines, one zero dipsy and two riggers. Everything caught fish. We amused ourselves by trying to see how many different baits we could catch fish on so after a bait took a fish, we would remove and replace it with something. As the morning progressed we tried getting creative with our bait choices. Some of the lures we caught fish on included a Reel Keel plug, a size 3 j-plug, a vibrax spinner, a spin and glow plus many stickbait and spoon iterations. In the end we concluded we could have caught fish on a cigarette. We did poke out into Laker Land to have a look. We liked the graph but fish were not biting out there. Good to see some bait around and fat healthy fish. The last pic was a fish that looked like it came out of the finger lakes with very little body spots.

    I have a question to pose. Has Fox News reported on how the informant in the 3 year Hunter Biden Burisma story was arrested for making up the whole thing by getting his info from Russian intelligence? Probably not much. Has Fox News shown any texts messages from Hanity, Tucker, or Laura that were made public in the Dominion case where they all state they know the election steal was a lie and they think Trump is an idiot? Probably not. How many of Trump’s circle have either plead guilty to crimes or are currently being investigated? I typically lean to the right on my voting but I gladly placed a default vote for Biden to keep the Insurrectionist and Chief out of office. This insanity of clinging to a lying criminal by the brainwashed MAGA crowd has kept the Republican Party from promoting a decent candidate. Do we really believe in a country made up of 331 million people that these candidates are the best of the best? Reagan is rolling over in his grave with Trump’s love affair with all things Putin. I don’t get it. We should demand better. We deserve better. Trump didn’t beat Biden the first time because Independents like me chose Biden. There will be even more Independents voting Democratic this time around. Trump can’t win.

    Stocking is funded by money earmarked from the federal Pittman-Robertson Act. It has nothing to do with who is in office at any level. Might I suggest sprinkling in some news stations other than just Fox to learn about all the things Fox is not telling you.

    With the weather turned crappy again, that sure sounds inviting! It is shaping up to be an early spring up here. The Robins never completely left for the winter. Tell Jim the trolling motor he sold me is fixing to get wet March 2nd. We will try to save you some fish for you for when you come back but no promises. Stay safe !

    Whenever I hear about ice fishermen losing their life walking on thin ice to go catch a 10” fish, I shake my head. The balloon trick adds a whole new level of Zany 🤪 to my view of perch fishermen as a group lol. Is there any support group available to help you guys??

    Looks like the weather starts to break again around the week of the 26th. It’s going to be an early spring this year. Time to start boat prep gents!

    I am pretty sure if you bounced an anchor or cinder block on the lake floor, the dirt kicked up would probably attract them. I can’t believe in the spooky theory of perch-but schools do move just to move and feed.

    No ice around. We saw 38. 7 degree water today in Niagara County. Lots of fishes.

    Not sure Dave is in business due to health issues. Northport Nailer wild things spoons are the same blank coupled with the best paint job in the business. Haegens has the blanks if you need different sizes and will do basic paint jobs. They usually have a minimum size order required to do paint jobs.

    It is entirely up to individual towns. If towns want bow only areas, a proposition could be voted on. There have been baited hunts at night in Amherst done by local police officers. Not sure if they still are conducting these shoots as remarkably a 12 gauge slug ended up going through the second story bedroom where a child was sleeping during one of the deer shoots near a neighborhood (I have no idea)
