  1. We had probably 5-7 board pull backs yesterday that were hit and runs so yes we saw nipping behavior. No buried swallowed deep hook ups.
  2. Heeeelllllllooooooo !! Anybody out there?? I am hearing guys are cycling through 150 fish in two days of fishing in Erie,PA for some tournament down there but you would never know it based on reports on this thread. Lots of fish everywhere so no reason not to post a report every once in a while.
  3. Hot baits today
  4. Reports are good out of Barcelona today. Fish in the 62’ range. Five colors of lead and worm burners. Dipsys and riggers. We didn’t have to drive that far- fished out of the Catt. Did some contour trolling with stickbaits. Never got deeper than 28’. Two limits obtained plus two huge perch that hit 6” stickbaits, a handful of smallmouth, a huge silver bass and about ten huge sheepshead. Nap 😴 time.
  5. West winds have pushed warm water back into Barcelona. There should be a ton of fish after that blow the last few days. Get ‘em!!!

  7. Holy crap a fishing report! Sounds concerning about all the dead alewives. I may have to become a Brown Trout fisherman this year when my boat becomes available. Good year to have boat issues I guess. Thanks for posting the results of strike assist. I would think lakers and walleye fishermen would benefit the most based on how those species follow and inhale baits vs the ram-feeding technique of the silver species.
  8. Ha, nice fix. Not me. As soon as I finished fishing I drove to cabelas on way home and bought a new Fenwick Fish Eagle rod to hopefully last the next 40 years
  9. I heard there were lots of boats out of Buffalo. It would be nice to hear some reports good or bad.
  10. It kept catching even after breaking. I twisted the two ends to offset the guides, bend the end guide down a little and managed to reel in this 4 lb bass.
  11. Well it finally happened. My trusty cabelas fisheagle baitcasting rod from high school met its match with this 6 lber. RIP Rod you have caught a crap ton of bass in 40 years
  12. Nite bite still on. 15’ down over 25’
  13. Looks like the lake flipped. Warm water appears only to be around Buffalo.

  15. Message sent to your inbox. I think I know this boat.

  17. Lake Erie walleye
  18. For those thinking about getting a transient slip in Dunkirk, Chadwick Bay Marina charges $2.5 per foot per night.
  19. Great bite last night, slower bite today off the Catt on stickbaits. Buddy fishing West of Barcelona did well with summer tactics 52-62’ on worm harnesses -riggers, dipsys and 5colors. We pulled out the spinning gear and fished some Ned rigs and blade baits. Highlight was a 6.5 lb smallmouth.
  20. Tom, logging can be pro-environment as well. Right now there are reduced numbers of song birds and bees. By providing diverse habitat it promotes more diverse species present. Logging/burning/environmental design has been done in some form since the beginning of man.
  21. As much as I love to see big old trees, I am all for selective harvest of a renewable resource. Old growth forests are pretty sterile unless they have a good mast crop. With all the invasive bugs and diseases that are taking out mature tree species, this is a good time to cut.

  23. And it is supposed to blow 10-15 out of NE Sunday. F’it, I am going to Erie.
  24. Have you checked with Brian Garrett on this site?
  25. Weldon’s release. They have been bought out and I believe they have a new name. They sell these in Ohio along Lake Erie. The new yellow version is awesome
