Like Wes said get a radio and a good antenna 8ftr, you may need help or need to help someone else someday. Or you might want to call for fishing info; a lot of us are more than willing to give up the info on the water. I have a handheld radio on the boat also, only problem with that is Jason likes to take it and call me from the back of the boat . Sean

Ugly Stick model BWD 1101 9ft

I had a 20 ft alumacraft and it was a great boat. If I was ever going to go back to that type of rigg I would also look at the new Starcrafts they look like a good choice. Sean

Hi Alex, PM Sent

A few bass, suckers, and pan fish are glad you caught that big pike. That is one nice fish

Cheater or slider goes on your rigger line, don't use it on a board line. This spring you want 3, 4, and 5 color core off boards with standard stinger, super slims or some smaller spoons. I have some color paterns that kill the Walleye and Bows on that lake in the spring. Start North after ice out around the points on the East side for the eyes and bows, lakers will be up that way also. as things warm up slide South. Summer program I would always have a 5 or a six color core in for the eyes out deep over bait and then 8 to 12 color for the rest You can do the same with copper 50ft to 300 ft, but the eyes like the action of the core more than the copper. Wire divers and your rigger rods will take care of the Lakers, I would save the flasher and flies for the diver rods. Sean

I get more fleas on the 20lb then I do the 30lb. Sean

I went with Aqua World who most of the hotels use, they did a great job. I was on vacation with the wife and while she was at the hotel each morning I was out catching sailfish. I have a 9ft and 9.5 ft replica mount on the wall, from the two big ones I caught. If you tell the capt you want to get a mount done he will put you on the big one he gets a cut from the taxidermy studio out of florida. Sean

You will be fine with just the diver rods. I would run four wire divers and two core /copper off of church boards that is if you have two guys on the boat. Run two mag dipseys and two number 1s with rings, run the mags on 1.5 the others on 2.5 to 3 setting. Use the mags with flashers and flies for Lakers down 80 to 120ft then the other divers with spoons at the T-cline or in the 20 to 60ft range if the T-cline is not set up yet. I always have four diver rods in the water and some days we will have six in. I only run wire with them I have less problems with fleas when they start. We were pounding the Lakers last week on the deep divers out 280 on Seneca. Good Luck Sean -
The BWD 1101 will not work for a dipsey I should of put that in my post. You will use the dipsey rod just for the dipsey set up. But the Bwd 1101 should work for the rest of your trolling rods.

I will be at the show I also have to get down to the store to pick up my new reels. I just need a day off

Model Bwd 1101 9ft for riggers, core, or copper. If your using a bait cast for jigging you could get away with it. No way would you want to use a dipsey rod for jigging. I would want a good Bass drop shot rod or flippin rod for Jigging so you can tell whats going on with your jig. Sean

Hi John. Lots of Landlock Salmon, and Browns, a few Bows. The Lakers are easy to get if you drop your gear down deep last time out we caught a boat full of them. We have started to target the Lakers some due to all of the guys that are pounding the Salmon. This time of year the Lakers fight great like the rest of them with the cold water.

Its been great we have been out three times in the last two weeks trolling on the Finger Lakes and I didn't even need a coat. Some of the best fishing of the year . Sean

Like they said should work great, you just need the right equipment. You can fish every day, if you get blown off Ontario drop down to the Finger Lakes and go get them. My last boat was an Alumacraft Trophy and I was on Ontario all of the time. Sean

how big do they get in cayuga????
Hookedup replied to irishbailey86's topic in Finger Lakes Discussion
Nice read Stinger Thats what I was told they were fin clipped, and have not been stocked in years. I doubt if any are in the Finger Lakes now days. And if they were they would be old as dirt and big. I bet a few 20lb browns are out swimming around Cayuga. Sean -
Never use them! None on my boat

My oldest daughter is goiing to turn 9 next weekend. She did a lot of shooting with me this summer with the 22 cal and the 7mm-08 remington I baught her. I got her the Howa it came with the youth and adult stock so she can grow into it. It had some zip with the reg 140 gr bullets so I got two boxes of the managed recoil amoo 140 gr core lokt psp. She was putting them threw the same hole at 100yds and the ammo is good out to 200 with only a drop of 3.6 at 200 with a 150yd zero. I have 223 rifles and they never get used, with this gun if its a deer or a bear down the road she can kill it. Keep it fun, each kid is different I have been a firearms instructor for years and one of the things that can mess folks up is the sound. Get good hearing protection and have targets that are fun to shot at. Sean

Fished the last two days on Seneca. Friday we did a short trip and had a grand slam in 15 minutes. Today was more of the same kids had a blast and everyone caught fish. The fish were not where we expected them to be but we found them. The pics say it all had my sister, father, jason, and the girls out today. Fish Stew Yum Yum! Jason can always pull a fish out of his a$$
