I got a few friends on the list I would like to be the guy who finds that pile of crap out west.

You can run all the same gear just run 8 to 10 lb floro for leads with spoons or cranks. With your flasher and flies run them the same as Ontario. The water is clear so light leaders and small snaps/swivels is a must.

From DEC There must be a U.S. Coast Guard approved flotation device for every person on board any vessel, personal watercraft (PWC), canoe, kayaks and rowboats. If aboard a PWC, it must be worn at all times when the PWC is in operation. From November 1 to May 1, lifejackets must be worn by all persons on boats under 21', canoes, kayaks, rowboats while they are underway Its under 21 ft for life vest

Had some great New Years eve fishing today on Seneca with my dad, his cousin, two of my girls and Jason who had just finished working all night. We had a great morning-- Lakers, Bows, and Salmon all good fish we only saved two Salmon for the grill and a few Lakers for Jason. Ran some new spoons from DW today and had great luck as well as some new Flies from Big Weenie. Had six on the boat so we had a chance to run a big spread Lots of other boats out trolling and perch fishing, surface temp was 41 down temp, at 50 was 42.5. Ran some new Mooching Rods and Reels on the riggers, they were alot of fun; a five pound salmon feels like a big king . I did get a few pics with the kids, most of the fish we let go at the back of the boat.

Hi Folks, I received the envelope to mail in my region 7 diary but never got one fro region 8. Does any one have the info? I never mailed them last year so I might be out of the loop. I did them this year and I have books full of info for region 7 and 8. I want to get them in the mail this week. Thanks Sean

Should be the same as the HDS 7. You have to get into the HDS 8 to have the soft keys along the bottom. It will work great for Ontario if you have it set up the way you should

They look great! I will be getting some

what's wth the holiday "lights" that make a breaking sound??

My kids love them! -
If it will work with your set up, you will love it.

Nice I wanted to get out this morning but it didn't happen. What did you have for temps? Sean

Ya the leadcore and copper is not the most enjoyable way to fish, but the days the dipseys are just taking a bath you will be glad you have them. Good luck and we will see you on the lake
-
You went to the wrong end of the Lake. Salmon, bows, and browns are still down off the tribs. Lakers should be off the big points or over the deep water suspended with the bait from the top down. I would deff run boards with 50ft to 300 copper and 2 to 12 color core. You will find them and when you do they will be hungry. As for how deep? they could be from the top down to 200+ I wouldn't spend my time fishing for the real deep fish only the ones from the top down to 100. Sean

Run the heavy wire like ray said to a 100 amp breaker with on off switch then from that go to your fuse box. Blue sea makes some nice ones I did the same thing and have 4 of them on boat now. Its nice when boat is not in use you can just hit the switch on the breaker. http://www.westmarine.com/webapp/wcs/st ... sNum=50554 http://a248.e.akamai.net/f/248/21700/1d ... 975596.jpg

Hi Marty, I use the throttle to power the speed all of the time on the kicker when im not using the troll master it is all set up like the big motor. Then all you do is set your throttle to idle (just ingage it to go forward) then turn on the troll master and use that. You want both if your servo motor goes out in your troll master you want to be able to use it with the regular throttle control, keeps you fishing. If you turn off the troll master its like its not even hooked up motor and throttle will function like it would if you didn't have it hoked up. If you set your EZ steer the correct way (to the correct poundage) it will slide in and out when you trim your motors in any position. I have hydraulic steering on the big motor so my garmin auto pilot will steer the kicker off the big motor even when the power is off to the big motor. One tip if you go with the Troll Master hook it up to a switch so you can turn off the power when its not in use. The small servo motor draws power if you do the install the way they want you to. I had a servo motor go bad and it was grinding its gears while the boat was in my barn. When I discovered it the motor was hot, could have been bad. So always have a way to kill the power when the boat is not in use.

Not the best pic but its on the swim platform. I use the EZ Steer and have never taken it off since day one. Yamaha 9.9 high thrust power trim and tilt with throtle control, also have the troll master throtle control hooked to it. you can see both controls for big motor and kicker past my daughter

Nice Nick Now lets go get some new fish Pics! I need some video so plan on Seneca this January.

Have two Hds units on my boat. Both of them work great, I had the zoom go out in one unit I sent it back and had a new one in 5 days. I would look at them at Bass Pro but check out BOE marine they will beat the price. Sean

I hate the Scuffs! Clean up is easy for every day clean up I hit it with the wash down the blood and crap runs under it and out of the boat. When you are not grinding the blood and dirt into the floor any more it washes out easy. When I want to do a good cleaning I roll it up like carpet and scrub the deck with soft scrub gell with bleach at home then roll it back out. Sean

Hi John, I just put a board under it and cut it with a razor knife. I have around an inch on both sides and one inch on the ends. I will have the floor move to the back of the boat an inch or so after a few weeks you just grab the whole thing and pull it up. I also hall my boat hundreds of miles down the road so stop and go driving is what does it, when I have a couple hundred pounds of coolers sitting on it. It does keep the gear from sliding around in the pounding waves. The thing I love about it is I hate scuff marks on the deck this cuts down on all the cleaning time. Sean

Easy to walk on, the warmer it gets it softens up but not to much. It has small bumps on top of it for grip if you go bare foot on it you will feal it. It makes standing on the deck all day easier on the back. The stuff I had was 1ft sections and snaped together, I even put it over my bildge hatch and the slight 1/2 inch change in elivation does not effect it at all. It is easy to cut if you need to I was lucky and only had to make a few cuts. I had extra so I did the pilot house and the bottom of my storage areas. It works great for keeping air flow under your gear in storage areas. They sell tapered end caps and edging also that i think are 2 inches if you are short a few inces on the sides or ends. I was fishing on charter boats in mexico they all had it and it had been in the boats for years and still looked new.

Have the same set up on my Parker and the 9.9 Yamaha high thrust out pushes the Merc 15 hp four stroke I used to have.
