  4. Nice job! What model Alumacraft did he get? I had a19ft trophy model alumacraft new in 07 it was a great boat. I have the side curtains for it and a new pedestal seat that I didn't let go with the boat if he is looking. Sean
  5. Garmin 1.2 liter pump kit for outboards up to 400 HP. I have it on 200hp Yamaha, Call Jim at BOE Marine he will hook you up. Sean
  6. Okuma Clarion CLR-553LS will hold what ever you need it to, and is FAST!
  7. Nice video Mike You try an under water shot yet?
  8. Find pods of bait out suspended in the perfect temp range and get the net ready!
  9. We run five or six core riggs pers side off church boards. Put on 40 to 50lb power pro backing I use a 300 yards spool on each reel. then we run 10ft of 30 to 40lb mono between the power pro backing and the core. That way you have a good section of mono to hook your board to. I use the albright knot for all the conections. I have gone to the cabellas core 27lb you can get 20 colors for what 10 of the other cost and it holds up just as good or better. This time of year 4, 5, and 6 color cores are hot, come summer it will be 8, 10 and 12 color.
  10. You will be good And you will have some great fishing that time of year.
  11. Nick you cost me $400 I have the gopro hero2 on the way as well as some extra mounting brackets.
  12. Seneca Marine Bait and Tackle in Watkins Glen has them I have several from them.
  13. I use blacks and light trolling rubber bands. Half hitch the first rubber band 4 times then the second band one time up against it. Put it in a blacks with the tension set high load the rod up so it’s almost in the water. No blow back, great hook sets, you can see if you have a dink on the line and the bands don’t break. Makes re setting easy you never have to measure just let line out to the rubber band and put it back in the release.
  14. I have a selection of spoons that always work, most important with spoons is speed, depth, and proper trolling angle/ light reflection. Certain colors are going to work in the top 40 yet if you use that same spoon 60ft down it won’t work. I have R@R spoons, Dreamweaver, and Stinger, NK, as well as some custom made spoons that I can’t mention. We will get a handful of spoons of each brand that work and load them up. Don’t have a hundred spoons that don’t work have 10 that kill the fish and own a hundred of them. Then each season we will test a few more and if we find a hot one it gets put on the list.
  15. I will be there Going to have the Fish-Pic fish holders for the guys who wanted one, I will also have some extra ones for sale. I have a like new Big John dual planer mass system also, and some new mega boards from Aurora Lites they will out pull any boards all for sale. Sean
  16. Anyone know where I can get some white cannon downrigger covers that are pre 2011. I have two mag tens that are the new models they are easy to find but have had no luck with covers for the 2010 white tournament HS models.
  17. Nice Job That fly works great I cant whait to run it up on the big lake.
  18. I had a 15 on my 19 ft alumacraft it would go as slow as I needed it to. It wasn't a high thrust model, the Yamaha 9.9 high thrust I have now pushes my big boat better than the 15. Sean
  19. Just the triples off my boat Wes, so guys can check them out. I will have cards and contact info for Great Lakes Planers. Sean
  20. Its Dri-Dek flooring get it from the company online. They are great to deal with.
  21. If anyone is interested in the Fish-Pic fish holder let me know by this Friday evening. John the owner is offering a show special of $17.00 the regular price is $19.95. Let me know how many you want and they do need to be picked up at the show at my table on the 25th. I will post the link and a photo from today of my daughter with a nice salmon using the Fish-Pic. http://www.fish-pic.com/ I will also have on display bird trees and elevated dipsy holders from Great Lakes Planers. The Dipsey holders have been a life saver on the back this winter. Tony at Great Lakes Planers makes a great product- stop by and check them out.
  22. Great question . I just asked the same question to the folks at the factory where my boat was built. The carpet does not hold up to well to scrubbing on the side walls of my pilot house or most boats with carpet in the cabin so you can’t get on it with a scrub brush. They say the best thing to use is a carpet cleaner like you would rent from a grocery store. Then you just add the upholstery attachment and clean all of the carpet. I am going to give it a try this weekend if we are going to have some dry weather.
  23. No studies, like you said I put it just behind gill plate. If I ever get a fish that starts to bleed I keep it, both of these took off like a rocket. The best way is to do what I do for 90% of them I let them go at the swim plat form and they never hit the net or boat floor. That is why I don’t have pics of all the big Lakers from today. Problem is when you want pics or a client wants pics yet they have a hard time holding a fish. If you try to have a non-experienced angler or a child hold up a 32 inch lake trout for a picture it is going to hit the floor of the boat several times before that picture is taken. Jason and I quite often will have clients who will keep one big Laker for pics and just pass it around that way we can let the rest go at the back of the boat. Especially after you explain to them that once that fish in warm water hits the net, the deck, and gets passed around it isn’t going to make it. This is mainly in the summer when those big fish don’t do so well. This time of year you could keep that brown in a five gallon bucket for an hour and he would still slap you with his tail when he took off. If you see a pic of me holding a huge Laker next to the client that is because he is going back in the water and I don’t want him to hit the floor. As for the Fish-Pic fish holder it works for the times it is needed and the clients love it. Like I tell them when they watch a fish swim away and ask me “will he make it†I say he has a better chance in the lake than he does the cooler.
