    Temperature means nothing to these staging fish. They are waiting for some water flow. It may be a long time before they get what they need the reservoir is very, very low I don't know if they can release much water.

    Fished wed afternoon for 4 hours out of Oswego. Marked alot of fish/bait in the 175 foot range. Caught 2 small kings on ff. No hits on the meat rig. Most of the fish were below the 150 zone. Hits came at 138 and 148.

    We fished out of Oswego today. Started around 11am marking a few fish and bait in around 150 ft range. No takers. Saw a few boats fishing inside this line. Continued trolling all the way out to 600 without a release. Marked very few fish. Worked back in to 300 and called it quits at 5. One other boat within sight on the lake all afternoon.

    Great job! Sound like you had a terrific weekend. Looks like the windy conditions have pushed the cold water in and the fish are staying out deep for awhile.

    It says in the Oswego county fishing report the brown trout fishing is good out of mexico from catfish creek to the high rocks. I cant locate this on my map. Can somebody please tell me where this area is. Thanks.

    The wind is supposed to die down for the weekend and the rain should finally stop. Should be good weather for a boat ride at worst.

    You better check on a place to stay now. Most places up here are already full for the eclipse viewing they are expecting hundred of thousands of tourists.

    I know what you mean doing it solo. I have a few times and especially if the wind is blowing it is difficult. I wish I could find someone who is retired like me and would like to go once in awhile. I just moved into the area and don't really know anybody. The fishing should get pretty good here soon.

    Good job and nice report. Nothings cheap anymore (hunting and fishing trips never were!). Looks like you made the best of it though. Can't do much better than that.

    I also found the spring brown season to be very good. Nearly every one had a lamprey with some having two or even three small ones. I think some of the programs were suspended during the pandemic.
