  1. Still in today. Water is dirty, lot of algae still. Pike were snapping pretty good in 4fowspoons. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  2. That’s awful. When you put up the money for new you expect a few years without any issues. I’d say a reputable dealer would give you every dime you have into this boat towards another one. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  6. There are inconsiderate people everywhere. I try to avoid them. Except for a couple MI tournaments I don’t fish weekends. I am lucky I write my schedule and can get weekdays off to fish. I usually work Saturday and do home repair and maintenance on Sunday. Then I can fish on Tuesday or Wednesday. No crowded launches, most of the lake to myself. I love it when it rains on fishing days,a lot of sissies stay home. Someone mentioned kayaks going between them and shore. I split fishing time between my 18’ boat and my kayak. I’ve never done that in my yak. I’ve paddled around a lot of fishermen. It would be great if everyone on the water was respectful to others but that’s not gonna happen. The original post was about Wellessy island. Man,that’s the last place I would fish between memorial and labor days. The fishing is good for sure but the traffic makes it not worth it except for first light and rainy days. Enough of my mouth, have a great fall bite all. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  7. All MI tournaments are c+r only, that’s just the way it is. If guys want to keep legal fish to protect other species it’s up to them. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  8. We caught a short, missed one and this guy Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  9. this shot is a fishing hot spot map I bought over 20 years ago. It talks about different spots that are treated annually and bi annually and spawning areas that are off limits to treatment. I’m not smart enough to have a valid opinion,I’m just pointing out it’s nothing new. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  10. Put about $3,000 in it and flip it. Should bring in about $900 cleaned up and running Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  13. I was on vacation. Launched boat and when I met the wife at our rental I noticed 2 of 4 bunks were broken. I went to hardware store for lumber,as well as a staple gun and hand saw. Had to “drill” pilot holes with a screwdriver and tighten 8 lag screws with vise grips. Next time I get new carpet. The original was obviously put on with a fully automatic assault stapler. 14. just did mine yesterday. Ten years old. Just new treated wood and the old carpet stapled back on. It’s a pain getting all the old staples out. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  15. I never take off my bow mount. My boat cover has a pouch built into it for the electric. I think the cover was made by Carver. Still nice shape after six years. My boat has to sit outside year round. I leave the cover at home because I don’t want to mess with at the launch. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  16. i camped at Robert Moses park the last few days. Started fishing in this bay by the campsite and stayed there for four days. So many pike there I almost couldn’t stand it. Not all dinks either like a lot of SLR bays. I caught a fair number of nice ones. the bite was first and last light except Wednesday which was overcast and rainy. Caught fish all day. Never saw another boat.except for a bunch of these. Started with a spoon and never took it off. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  17. I can buy any rod I want as I have out lived my mortgage and 10 year boat loan. I have a bunch of them including some St Croix legend tournament jobs. But my favorite is my bass pro 7’6” rod. So old it says Pete Maina on it. It was $99.00. They are $119.00 now. I boated a 56” on it yet it’s still flexible enough to have fun with a 35” fish. They also make a longer 2 piece rod that sucks. It will break while you’re getting the net in place. Spend your money on a top shelf reel. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  18. If you can get followers you can catch them. Some days they just won’t eat no matter what. Stay at it. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
