  5. Nice Paul! Can't wait to get out there and get'm
  6. Stress has alot to do with teh droptime so they will hold longer with the weather pattern we have had but eventually the new growth is going to pop them off. I would say 90+% haveto have dropped already
  7. Very nice! [ Post made via Android ]
  8. That had to be where we saw the big group of shanties from Shepards Point launch. I watched the trolling videos from last weekend too they were getting them pretty good, should have brought up the boats.
  9. I will 2nd the big Canan Bows but Capt'n Mike likes the tiny ones
  10. I got a 600 copper from Tom last fall and love it, it is really good to have it mark that way you can fish from 100' out to 3-400 feet, I don't think you will need to go 600 plus you will have forearms like popeye if you hookup but if you loose some or get a tangle you can cut it and still have enough to use down the road for quite some time.
  11. LOL, Yes I will have a few bucks on the wall we set up, typically we have a pretty good wall of bucks on display, believe it or not mine look small compaired to some we have up.
  12. Hey gang, the Northeast Big Buck Club is holding our annual Deer and Beer Scoring Session at Fandango's in Bloomfield Ny on February 11th from 12:00 till whenever. Feel free to stop in with your buck from this season or seasons past and get the antlers measured for the books. Spread the word and if you don't have a deer of your own stop by and say hi and see some great NY bucks. Let me know if you have any questions or have a monster buck maybe you want to set up a private time for.
  13. This can be quite a loaded question and there really is no definitive answer. I have been running camse for almosst as long as they are out. I really like the flash due to pic quality and 365 color, some bucks whether mature or not will not give a hoot about the flash others will make a one time appearance and that's it but I have found this to be the case with the IR's as well. The best approach is to avoid putting the cams in or around your primary hunting spots and stands within a month or so of hunting season to let things settle down. I typically move cams to perimeter locations which aren't as much of a concern if the deer start to avoid the location. I don't think either will drive deer off the farm but they will certainly change patterns and if you are foolish and can't stop checking them to frequently you will have very little chance of getting the deer (mature ones) you get on cam. That being said in terms of quality hte flash is best but if you are just looking to get an idea of what is running around the IR's are pretty good too I like to run both for different reasons. Battery life, trigger speed, and megapixels are the most important items when buying cams in my mind.
  14. I agree with Gambler, great and willing to participate but we would have to have solid ice season.
  15. We spent all of our time on Hay Bay, wish we had better ice to roam on but you have to play with the cards delt. Did manage one Quinte gold though, nice 7lb'er and a bunch of perch, we will be back when the Bay is more fishable for sure. Nice fish gents, it was cool to finally meet some faces behind the post's!
  16. Anyone know how it is going through customs with gear? Do they want to look through everything or can we pack the sleds up tight?
  17. Yes, yes we did, especially Jimbo who is now known as WallyWebb
