  1. A good quality grease not necessarily marine. Bearing failure, like the trailers you see on the side of the road usually come from lack of maintenance, no one took the time to either spin the wheels or pop the cover off. Or someone tightened things too tight.
  2. I certainly would not want to sell something to someone that could not be registered, I am clarifying this question now. But for example an unladen trailer weighing more than 999 lbs, has an issue getting registered as a homemade. And a trailer that would fall under the title rules. The unladen weight on this is in the neighborhood of 350 lbs.

This has worked in the past, try some of the good dry gas, dump enough to cover whatever gas you have in the tank, run it at idle long enough to get it circulated through the system, then go for a ride. Sounds like you have a bad tank of gas to me, I would try this before going to the next suggestion, water separator or fuel filter.
  4. It would be helpful if posters put their location when looking for something. My suggestion would be to get on Craigslist in your area and look. For example in Western NY, there have been a few posted this spring/summer.
  5. As I recall when the bellows went on my OMC Cobra that I owned years ago, the marina owner said the Mercruiser was the most involved to change.
  6. price reduced another $50.00 to $300.00. Would like to move it this week.
  7. This will have to be registered as a homemade, I have no paperwork! EZ loader roller boat trailer with relatively new tires, tires still have rubber nubs on them and rims. Dolly wheel, bearing buddies. All rollers good. Have one rear light working, may need replacement for the other, 8.99 each at harbor freight. Overall trailer is in good shape, sat inside for an extended period of time $300.00 or best offer. Can provide you with whatever other pictures you need to address your questions. Located in Dunkirk/Fredonia NY
  8. I think we all need some more details, symptoms. Is it stumbling at high speed, has a miss at high speed etc? Has it had a set of new plugs recently? How old is the motor? Do the plug wires etc look good, no cracks etc? Permanent gas tank and if so how old is the gas? Those are the questions that any mechanic is going to ask or anyone on here with a suggestion? thanks

New throttle and shift cables in 2011 and 2011 battery.. Boat comes with two plastic six gallon gas tanks, anchor. Cockpit cover. 10. sold 6/2/2012 Please read the following. This motor was on a boat that sat outside for six years. The wiring connections to the battery are not in the best shape and I did not even try to repair. Therefore, I DO NOT KNOW IF THIS MOTOR RUNS OR NOT. If you pull it buy hand it turns and feels like it has solid compression. Lower unit is fine, prop is good. It has wiring harness and controls, key is broken for ignition. MOTOR is complete package, all parts are there. Manual tilt engine, 20 inch shaft. Located in Dunkirk NY $175.00 or best offer.
  11. would be willing to sell just the boat-or if someone wanted the motor for parts just the motor.
  12. Caught a mixed bag of perch, sunfish, silver bass and rock bass, upper half of the lake, 10 ft of water or less. Good opportunity to take kids over there with the probability of landing something and keeping their interest.
  13. Would be willing to start with selling just the boat.
