  1. Congrats John, you deserve it. Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  2. I was told that a couple of the experienced older guys killed them in 50 to 70 fow and all on the bottom. This was at the oak. Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  3. Where are you catching walleye's? I forgot to ask you that the last time I wrote to you. Thanks
  4. I'm about to put my boat away for the winter and concentrate on tree stands and deer season. Yotes as well. This has been my worst season since I've lived here and I put more hrs on the lake than ever before. You are about the only guy reporting good days on a regular basis. Good luck buddy, hope your lines are tight and stay safe. Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  5. They did shorten the gun season, they took away the entire muzzle loader season from us. Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  6. We will have to form a moonshine lure group to make up for all of the hot tips lost from his departure. I will miss him and his honesty but wish him and his family nothing but the best in their new adventures. Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  7. Not very upset over the 1st part because the season used to open on the 15th. I am very disappointed that they took my muzzle loader season away from me. They basically took 3 weeks of hunting away from all those that do not have a place to hunt south of the new regs. Will they refund all the lifetime tags purchased? 8. It was very rough this am, and fish are all at bottom. From 115' to 150' all fish were at 100- 110. Went 3 for 3 all lakers off riggers and then it turned ugly and I had to turn in. I was NE of Bear Creek where I had mark from yesterday. All kings yesterday and all at the same depth. Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  9. We are losing one of the best and most honest charter captains that this lake has to offer. Captain Carl Bish is leaving for the warmth of the south and greener pastures. Wishing Carl and his family all the best and I'll miss his tips and Moonshine lure suggestions. Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  11. Are you going out tonight? I really look forward to your reports and I'm taking a disabled friend out in the morning. Thanks Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  12. I use the weather bug pictures from channel 10. One is at lighthouse in Sodus and another is in the Webster area. The picture frame is usually wide enough to see the conditions and if you are familiar with the area you are going to launch at, it should tell you what you need. 13. Is that the old #Waypoint" boat? I live directly west of you on Lakeside. Always thought about stopping and introducing myself to talk fishing. Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app

New running lights, new wheels and good tires on trailer. This boat is ready to fish and has clear titles for both.Bought a new boat and need to move this one. Willing to seperate boat and motor but most of the asking price is for the motor. Call Pete @ (716) 913-1315
  17. The drift boats seemed to be netting a few fish. Man those guys must have powerful arms and shoulders. We were getting tired watching them paddle. Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  18. Got the boat out for the initial launch of the season out of bear creek. No dock, shallow, shallow water until you get well past the point. Some spots barely hit 2'. Buddy and I started about 9ish and fished until 1pm. Missed a few and boated 3 browns and one real nice steel head. Water Temps ranged from 36 to 42 in about 8'. Very little colored water and most was crystal clear. Few guys fishing in front of Ginna because the bouys aren't in yet. Beautiful day to be on the lake. 20. Looking for a cover for my 9.9 kicker, its a Johnson 93/94 electric start. I broke the locking bracket off the back and there are no after market parts available to repair it. Anyone have any idea as to where I can find one. Even if its broke up, I may be able to take the locking bracket off of it.
  21. I have been hunting PA for over 20 yrs, and the deer have gone from nearly starved animals to good to great trophy animals. I hunt 3 farms that are open to anyone who asks and rarely see more than 1 other hunters all of opening day. I have shot some of my best bucks there and love the AR. As far as NY goes, I hunt similar land, saw no other hunters but my buddy through the entire bow season, and only a few others during gun. Most of the guys that I hear complaining hunt 1 or 2 days and then judge the whole states herd number. Sorry but I spent well over 100 hrs in the stand during bow and half as many during gun. I passed over 25 small bucks during bow and had great season. Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  22. That's funny! I once had a buddy of mine (6'4 ") almost knock me out of the boat trying to get away from a bat. He did scream like a girl, and I was laughing so hard I almost wet myself. Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  24. I fished Monday from 6-10am and caught one 15 lb laker. I started in 175 fow and went out to 260 marking nothing. The fleas were so bad that I had about 5' of build up on my down rigger cables. I have heard that some decent catches are coming in at 80-120 fow. Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  25. I went out of Bear Creek last night and had action at the 222fow mark. I just circled there for a few hrs and caught a couple of nice steelies and one 10-12lb king. All hits came on riggers at 70&65 down. My wire line was also coated with fleas as well as my rigger cables? My down rigger poles have 30lb flea flicker and we're basically clear of fleas. My favorite moonshine lure " bis hie bruiser" caught all the fish.
