  1. John Powell...I can't seem to edit my post either or quote anyone? I wonder if there is something wrong those features? Thanks for the clear explanation for rigging. I seem to learn something all the time here at LOU.
  2. Flybuster...Good advice. I have at the very least 2 of the same lures and sometimes up to 4 or 5 of the same.
  3. Trying to get all my stickbaits in order this winter for spring brown trout fishing and I was wondering what sizes (F9, F11 etc...) and colors seem to work best in the spring. Thanks for any input.
  4. You believe you owned it for 2 years? You don't know how long you owned it? Lol. Just kidding
  5. Nick, it would help knowing the size of the lures such as scorpions, standards, mags etc....
  6. I have the Cannon dual access rod holders on Cannon tracks. IMO Cannon has the best rod holders on the market.
  7. Has there been a recent marine survey done on the boat? If you don't sell it now hang in there as it will sell in the spring.
  8. Looks like a fair price to me. It can be tough to sell a boat at this time of year. Maybe you can offer free winter storage to the buyer?
  9. If you decide to dock at Arney's you best check out available dock space for 2014. There has been few available slips there the past couple of years.
  10. Rich, did you buy the new boat yet?
  11. A 5000 entry fee per team isn't too bad considering the amount of prize money available.
  12. I believe the only different parts are the probe which has a water pressure sensor and the head unit. The transducer is the same for both units. The power cable and plug ins are the same for both units. If that's the case though it looks like the new head unit and probe are going to run about 600 bucks. I don't think I would upgrade if I just spent 699 for a regular X4 unit. I have the X4D and I find the X4D very valuable since I often do not pick up my downrigger balls on my FF when fishing past 90 ft. I couldn't care less for the surface speed since my GPS is much more accurate for detecting surface temp speed.
  13. Good deal. I would hop on it, but i have the X4D too. Lol
  14. Steelers winning in the 1950's. That was a rarity back then!
  15. If you ending buying that Ray SPX 5R auto pilot make sure it can handle the weight of your boat. I think they rate that unit up to 4400 pounds for mechanical steering. Don't get the cheaper costing unit for hydraulic steering for a mechanical steered boat because although it can be fitted to work it will wear out in about a year. Also make sure that all parts needed for installation come with the kit. After a lot of research I ended up going with the Sitex SP-110. So far I'm very happy with it.
  16. I did business with them twice this year. I bought an auto pilot and a GPS. I was very happy with their service and communication. I have also done business with BOE and the GPS store. They were very good too. Hodges had the best prices for what I was buying. I highly recommend them.
  17. Does this course satisfy the new boating course requirement just signed into law in NYS or is a classroom course still required? Thanks for the link
