  1. You can probably launch out of Deans Cove.
  2. Nick, I know when you get 20 boats we all have a different opinion. I like everything about it....but, I reallly really really would love to see a date that does not conflict with the Lake O Pro Am
  3. Would love to but the 21st is the same day as the Wayne County Pro Am in Lake Ontario. If the date changes for any reason I would put a team together. Wayne
  4. Nick, It's very nice. I would add more pics of your boat. I would also get rid of that pic with those "washed" fish hanging from the board in that one picture. Lastly....I would get a cute chic (or chics) in a bikini holding a fish or two as well as some family photos with kids etc. It would show that you "welcome" women and children. Nice job!!! Wayne
  5. Awesome day. That's some serious action! You should have saved some. We could have used them for bait over on Cayuga
  6. Wire is many times better than Mono or Braided. It sinks deeper, is less prone to collecting fleas, doesn't stretch at all, and lasts years and years. Roller rod is fancy and nice but is definately not needed. You don't even need a twilly tip for the first year or two. Oh, and wire seems to spool on and off your reel a lot better than braid or mono. It also reels in and seems to make the drag work a little smoother....at least on my reels. Mono is worthless with divers because it is so stretchy you can't pop the diver when you want to bring it back in and because it is so thick your diver won't dive nearly as deep. Braided is worthless once the fleas arrive because it collects the fleas like it has glue on it and they are very hard to remove from braided.
  7. Great job Hal. Kinda wish I didn't put my boat up for the winter after reading that report! Wayne
  8. Ooops, I was thinking Red Drum (Redfish also). I have never seen one of those ocean Perch Redfish. Looks a little like a Red Snapper. Either way, I'll bet it was tasty!!! Nice stripers also!

  10. I stayed and rented a boat for a full week in Marathon in May. It was awesome. Fished gulf, reef, offshore a little, 7 mile bridge and Vaca Cut. I used my 10'6" noodle rod in the Vaca Cut and hammered Jacks, snapper, grouper, and 3 nurse sharks. Largest nurse shark tip of head to tip of tail was almost 5 feet long. Got him on 12 lb test main line....50 lb leader. I dream of moving down there and hopefully will some day in the not so distant future.
  11. For me....if they aren't biting the mtn dew glow crush spin doctor with a green fly they aren't biting anything.
  12. I'm out in 140 not working much just had a bite though what depth are you fishing at right now? [ Post made via Android ]
  13. You going to have the radio on Channel 9 tomorrow? If so, I'll give a shout out to you. Wayne Stoutner "Balls Deep"
  14. its only 5 or 6 minutes. No big deal at all and is a nice launch.
  15. Hey bobs_Boy...tried to reach you on the radio but no answer. Tried for you on 68 and on 08. Chad we had a pretty good day. Ended up I think 7 for 11 or so. We had 2 or 3 hit and runs on the 500 copper. Couldn't get them to hang on to the copper rod today. For the most part we fished the 110 - 140 feet of water and fished from about 85 down to 120 and divers 260 out to 330. Here are a few pics Jason (Zebedee) fighting a 20 lb'r And here is the fish he landed Diver back 260 Blue crush SD and blue fly ....and the 20 lb'r I landed off the rigger 120 down MS Yellow Killer Mag Spoon Last but not least a nice Brown maybe 8 - 10 lbs Jason caught on rigger down 120 with same MS Yellow Killer Mag Spoon.....Yes, 120 down but with blow back probably 100 down.

  17. We started out working the 100 -110 feet because we got a late start and figured there must be fish there because everyone was working that water. I marked very few fish and very little bait in that 100 feet of water and saw very few people pull their net out. We did land one of our Browns in there and another in about 150 feet of water maybe 280 back on a diver/flasher. We then proceeded to move out to the 200 - 230 range and that is when we picked up the Kings and marked a few fish and some bait....not much though.
  18. Fished Sodus Sunday from about 8 am til about 2pm or so. Went 6 for 7 with two 5 lb browns, couple skippy Kings, 13lb King, and 18lb King. Lost a possible major due to an amateur working the drag on my diver rod! Pretty good day all in all. Couple of things to note: I was very surprised at how dark this 18 lb King was and how much of his teeh were exposed already. This thing looked ready to run the river this week. Check out the Jaw on this 13 lber. About 1/2 of his lower jaw was gone. It looked like an old injury....probably a catch and release from when it was a skippy!
  19. I ran flea flicker on Ontario the last 3 or 4 weeks and it was great. Haven't tried it on Cayuga yet but will on Saturday morning. Whatever you do, don't run braided when there are a lot of fleas.
  20. I agree about Oak Orchard (Point Breeze, NY). I am too lazy to tow my boat there but It would be my first choice for sure.
