  2. Looks like that boy was having the time of his life! Keep that fun going for him. On my way out Sandy channel Saturday morning first light we saw a cormerant with a 6" bass in his mouth and in the evening a quarter mile off shore there was a eagle chasing a fish hawk around for 5 minutes, that was a way cool sight to see! 3. A week ago I went back up on the hill to revisit a tracking job I had on a buck I lost last bow season on my property. I spent half one night and more than half the next day looking for him after the shot. I had a good blood trail for a couple hundred yards then nothing. Most of my neighbors call me when they loose a deer cause most likely I will find it I cause I've been successfully tracking critters for 50years . This one I did not, well I knew it wasn't over and went back on the mission looking for light colored leaves knowing it would be from deer hair scattered we're he layed. That's what I found at first then 40 yrds away there's the head and he's a beauty I had him aged he's deemed to be at least 4 1/2 . Sent from my XT1710-02 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  17. You got that right it's all about the 124 day crow season that's manatory with the federal migatory treaty act with Mexico, Canada and USA. The Friday through Monday season thing all came about because of hunters down state hunt rookeries and not migatory birds and there lobby was bigger than the flight bird guys i guess. 18. I need to put this out there.when I was a young young boy my father and I use to hunt crow along the lake front in March and early April back in the 60s and 70s. We had many of days with 100- 300 bird shoots and it was all about when the weather was right (SW winds warm temps) later when they made the season when you could only hunt Friday through Monday half the time I the good weather to hunt was on days you could not hunt. I fought with the DEC and worked with the conservation counsel to get the season back to a seven day a week season for years with no success. Finally I gave up the sport and run coyotes in March now just too many hart breaks watching all the crows fly by untouched just like last Thursday when the weather was perfect for a great hunt and could of shot scase of shells! To this day I still don't get it really! A Season on crows!!!! Sent from my XT1710-02 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  19. Very nice you Bill! We had great running yesterday the small light colored yote we ran from one end of town to the other late in the day before she bayed in the blow down. The big male I shot 20 yards in front of my 2 female hounds nose. What a blast! Sent from my XT1710-02 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  23. Thanks guys, that big yote I had been seeing his tracks for the last 2weeks around we named him (The foot) and never jumped him before yesterday. My younger and relatively small female hounds we're tracking him for nearly 2 hours before he bought it. If they could see what they were driving in the thick cover they may of thought different! 24. The hounds drove yotes for almost 6 hours today and we managed to get 2 out of 3 of them, one pushing the farm scale to nearly 50 lbs another still running with some led in him! Sent from my XT1710-02 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  25. We been banging away at then this week trying to put a hurting on them here in Hamlin /Kendall. The pic of the yote that has he cut in the belly came from my first shot a hour into the run but I finnaly connected hour and a half later with a good one. There is been nothing easy bout running them this year with all the ice and frozen ground for sure. Sent from my XT1710-02 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
