Got up to our camp on wendsday to open up on the SLR, took a ride yesterday down to Guffin bay to look over some launches, chaumont public ramp you need boots to get to the dock, that's before this last rain hit. Just an FYI, I was told today that static docks along the river are getting close to submerged or already are. I'm now a resident of Lazy Acres park outside CV and they informed me yesterday, I'm gonna be trailering to Chaumont area till June. We will be staying on the SLR this year, decided the old bottom paint will need to be renewed, spend the last 2 mornings sanding the bottom and washing. A tip that came in real handy was purchasing a drywall sand block on a 5 ft broom handle, that way your not laying directly under the dust. The co polymer paint is on the way next. Bill still has to pass House of Commons and get signed by Governor General. All stems from a bust on a 22 year old kid who was fishing Canadian side with liscense and all safety stuff on board. Just purchased a Garmin Echomap 7 in with chirp and down vision. I'm installing as we speak, the transducer and hardware for mounting was solid metal bracket, much sturdier than my Ray ducer mount. I've got a 5 merc, it is on a 17.5 ft sea nymph, with riggers out and pushing against wind, it's tough to maintain good speed and its loud as hell at 3 mph. Good for trolling slow for eyes though. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
