  1. The gas we get now is crap compared to the gas from 20 years ago. Back then you could get away with it, but today, why take a chance. A little more oil will never hurt a 2 stroke.
  2. Use any two stroke oil AS LONG as it has TCW3 in it. That's the key. All older motors should run 32:1 mixture, your motor will be happy.
  3. I got two (21&27")this AM after diverting from a perch trip because of the high winds. I figure the filets from the 27" fatty equals about twenty 10 inch perch anyway.
  4. Oops to late!!, 20 and 21 inchers, d€\/0
  5. Picked up a few today and a couple crappie too. These went 12 1/2 inches. All on minnows. Worms will only get you white perch and gills.
  6. Ha! I saw you were laid up and I've done some cool/wierd stuff too when recovering. Get well soon. Seriously though, the Tigers are a beutifull fish. We catch some out of Conesus "speed Trolling" at 5mph! (and ice fishing).
  7. No reports here, I've been too busy painting!
  8. Well, its not trolling but the other night while casting jigs in the river, at the end of each cast you have to reel up as fast as possible to avoid snagging the rocks. So after another ultra slow, stop and go retrieve, the jig gets about 15 feet from shore, I reeled up as fast as the handle would spin, and,..... WHAM! Fish On! Reaction bite!

    I bay

Nice catch! The docks are still in and they usually leave one section in well into December.
  10. Thanks Justracytrolling! I pay no attention whatsoever to the moon phases, I just fish whenever I can, wherever I can. Just go out and fish every chance you get with whatever lures and gear that you have and go have some fun! Take kids too.
  11. First off, I have to say that I envy the Otisco guys that post here, you catch some monsters and share valuable info that's helpfull to all of us. I fish a local river that I don't post about because of limited access but am able to catch my fair share of nice eyes out of. In fact, the last two days they've been on fire. I dumped four yesterday, kept one and put three on the stringer today. All on jigs and twister tails, right on the bottom. One had a big bluegill in its stomach.
  12. Not to be funny but I'd use it for a decoration on the wall. Why take a chance on losing a trophy fish to a antique rod/reel.
  13. Irondequoit temp was around 67 a week ago. We only found a couple small perch, sunny's and white perch.
  14. That's a good idea. I've got some spoons you can have too. Scumbags
  15. I trolled the north end of Irondequoit bay yesterday from 2-6 pm and picked up one undersized 17" walleye on a deep Challenger stick bait. 20 fow. Tried for perch too but only came up with silvers.
  16. LIsting it for a friend, he's asking $400. Call Dave at 585-802-9483 for more info. Thanks.
  17. Get suckers at the 1000 island bait store in Alex bay.
  18. Here we have a 1975, 5 1/2 hoarse, long shaft, Eska outboard motor made in Dubuque Iowa, USA! Low hours. This thing is real clean and has always been stored indoors. Call 585-802-9483
  19. I cleaned two large walleye this spring, out of Irondequoit Bay, that both were filled with the same fat layer. The stuff looks real wierd.
  20. We fish the bay a lot, and really don't get many pike. We mostly fish perch and walleye but the last few years haven't seen too many Pike. Could be just me though, today we couldn't catch anything, not even a alewife Water temp was around 68 deg. F today . Good luck.
