I also had leaks from the splash well down to the bottom of the boat. Along the transom. My bilge outlet is on the side of the boat normally above water but when tipped the water rushed in thru the bilge pump. Bad location but a check valve fixed it for now. There is some info on tuning meat rigs online. No expert here but i found the size and shape of the flasher impacted the movement of the meat and fish catching. Weird year and ice. Was wondering the same thing. Ice came late. But got thick quick. After a few snow, drift, melt and freezes the ice has 4” raised areas. The last few rains puddled up and melted down certain areas. last weekend my finder was reading 36.7*F water temp. We were on 8” of ice w areas of Never spudded so much. I am in the same boat with chaumont bay weekend 1/26. No pun intended. Hope we don’t need to bring up a boat 1st timer to schmoe and Scared of the ice horror stories there. now this winter.
