  1. Check out ITO flies they are awesome in the 2 inch for spring browns.
  2. They are just a place to put more lines trout and salmon aren't boat shy I know a capt that puts stick baits on a rigger right in the prop wash browns pound It .
  3. I'll use the same rubber band as long as it holds up . When it does go bad I just let line out till it gets to junk band ,pick it off and loop another on and fish on.
  4. Or get the shower curtain hoops and plastic clothes pins .drill a hole in clothes pin on finger end on one side put clip thru hole there is a release , half hitch a number 16 rubber band on the line when desired amount of line is out. Clip into clothes pin and send it down the board line.the rubber band will go thru eyes of rod when reeling in no problems. I buy clothes pins at dollar general the cheap ones work best .
  5. Frabill makes a few good ones snd you can even have a few custom mods made to suit your use. Find a good dealer
  6. Nicholas Glorioso he is down state and you mail your stuff to him , great work affordable pricing for quality of work . You can find him on fb . We use him and only him solely. 802-733-2590.also he is a veteran and still active in his service to the country that's more reason that I'll use him myself.
  7. As of this morning a trail is blazed to 52 fow quads and walkers are out there , stay on the trail have fun be safe.
  8. There are 2 threads active on shanty if your not signed in as member you can't access them.
  9. Not yet maybe sat a few will blaze the trail heavy snow is the problem. A few have ventured out checking ice . PM will be sent
  10. The Ultimate Outdoors booth will be just inside the main entrance to the right and we have a decent selection of Moonshine Spoons in the popular colors for salmon on lake Ontario. Carbon 14 , bad toad , purple nurple, etc in magnum and standard sizes. These spoons have been the ticket the last few yrs for big kings.
  11. FT I've had mine a while so I didn't know that or16 are included now ,good of you to say make sure that the or16 is on rear seems it slipped my mind lol.
  12. I would do both actually a mast up front and run lines back to reels on the sides , look at Trax tech great products imo.
  13. Yes they work but I would recommend church boards or offshore tackle myself . Just replace rear clip with or16 or churches equivalent. I run both and big boards depending on how angry the lake is.
  14. The DEC could possibly point you in the direction of a falconer or Google is always good . It is an awesome thing to see most people never will see it done in person. If you see that person out again go talk to him I'm sure he'd be thrilled to talk about falconry. Check out some youtube Vids some are wild the gyrefalcon or peregrine are just fast accurate birds . I hope you do one day get one that sport needs people keeping it alive .
  15. Totally legal as long as your in a legal hunting area . I've always wanted to get a bird myself but there is a few yrs of work and study involved under a master falconer.
  16. Night shooting is tricky try looking just off the side of the sight. Once you see how peripheral vision comes into play and focus you'll learn what t is a more accurate way of night shooting. It's taught in the military.
  17. Trax tech mast and Amish boards you can't go wrong !
  18. Look up Denis Kreze on facebook he would have best advice on upper river.
  19. Yes it does exhaust manifold, charging system, water pump ,cams go bad and a few more that aren't quick to come to mind. Boats a great rig power plant not so much easy to swap engines as I went up to the straight 6 in a starcraft this yr.
  20. If it's a mercruiser 3.7 Google that , you'll change your mind in a hurry .
  21. One name in any cover scent or attractant and that's Kishels. It does what no others can. Scent eliminator is awesome and and the deer scents I've seen and used do what others wish theyou could do.mock scrape and doe in heat scent granules will bring bucks to your stand .
  22. I got this on my trail cam and I'm going back
  23. I'd worry about it becoming brittle over time or snapping with big boards pulling . You'd be better off using aluminum tube or stainless IMO. I've seen 500 lb mono line snap on boards before so think of stress on a mast .
  24. My guess is the water quality of the lake ?
