  1. So if it is getting into the motor still then it is probably not between the tank and filters and in the line after the filters to the motor. If it is varnish then Straight ethanol (E85) will eat the varnish. Drain any and all fuel from the tank, add about 10-20 gallons of e85 and slosh it around and leave in there for a couple days that will remove any and all varnish (heavier deposits will take longer to dissolve.) I would then flush out the lines going to the motor running the e85 though them all. Empty tank as best you can then fill all the way with NON-ethanol and fuel treatment. Flush lines to motor to ensure only good fuel (non e85) makes it to the motor and you should be good to go. Use the e85 for starting camp fires or take to recycling center.
  2. So when I am sending in the money, I don't send in money for the 1k just check the box for both 1k and tourney then make out a check for the tournament fee only?
  3. When is the sign up deadline for the tournament? I didn't see it on the reg forms and might have skipped over it on website.
  4. What they need is a presence. If they start showing up on a random basis and start issuing tickets then it might turn a few away.
  5. I live next to the state park on Chaumont and watch these people rent the row boats and drop worms right down onto the bass beds. Just recently the one guy ran into my father in laws dock. Tonight I saw a couple guys throwing tube jigs and senkos in the shallows just before dark. It's ridiculous these people blatantly breaking the law.
  6. With the walleye can you mirror the image of the walleye so they face the same direction? So if I put one on each side of my boat the mouth would face to the front on both sides? Planing on doing a King anytime soon?
  7. Downfall to mercs are you need specialized equipment to work on them. If you like to do your own work look for another boat or a different motor to put on it. There are a lot of them out there good and bad ones. They did have problems with the early model optimax AKA optipop they would blow their heads clean off or piston thru the block. Merc has been around for a long time and have a big following. Personally I like BRP/Evinrude less crap to go wrong than the 4 stroke with just as long a life span and other than the computer I can tear it all down myself. This one of those ford vs chevy arguments both have their good points but it generally just comes down to personal preference.

    Long weekend

Heading up again today and staying through Monday have to use up that floating personal or loose it. Maybe I can make something happen, starting to get a little discouraged but it's fishing. At this point I'll run out to some deeper water and maybe beat up on some lakers or fish some of the spots that are generally later season spots to hook up with a few. Either way I need to put something other than a perch in the boat.
  9. Personally I would prefer Henchen, but not sure what the other east end guys would want.
  10. Yeah I re-read the post after I threw up those pictures . Sorry guys.
  11. One on the far left was 15lbs. and change the one on the right was 12lbs and change. Both caught out of Sodus. Left fish: Right FIsh:
  12. Same thing happened on my boat. I ended up running one as a dedicated gps and the other for depth.
  13. Good to hear I will call around on the east end Maybe the same shops that do LOC weigh-ins? Do you have a link to the facebook page?
  14. Not sure if you bragging about your big boxes or adding a review for the grizzly. 4 guys? wth I can barely get a box big enough to make a small girl strain !
  15. I'm currently looking into a new cooler and also leaning towards the rtic 65.
  16. Is that a 20lbs. minimum on browns too? I am hoping you meant kings and lake trout. I also feel 17lbs. would be good for lake trout if you do a lake trout division. Would it be possible to get a tackle shop on the east end to participate maybe in the Henderson area? Us guys on the far east end really get screwed when it comes to tournaments. Oswego by water is 30 miles and 70 by land.
  17. Yeah that was my next option putting up in front of the walk around, i was thinking underneath in the cuddy but that is used for a bed pretty often for those slackers that sleep when the fishing is slow.
  18. I use one only problem I have had was the end got bent up a little and doesn't work as good as it did new but that wasn't any fault of the manufacturer just me forgetting to tilt the kicker motor up before trimming my big motor.
  19. Awesome! Looking at the bend in the rod I think she is ready for salmon! Her form is perfect and I think we have the same expression when we are hooked up on a fish.
  20. Saw you out there the other day, gotta work for them that is for sure. I wish I could put a little more time on the water to dial in on them but hey it's called fishing for a reason. Great job!
  21. Just a quick update, I haven't seen any manufacturer that can come close to the price of the Rtic coolers. Siberian, Grizzly and engel are some other names but are all a bit more money for an equivalent Rtic cooler. Rtic also has a 7 year warranty where Yeti is 5. Some of the other manufacturers carry a lifetime warranty which speaks volumes for the durability of the coolers. Personally if I have a cooler that lasted 7 years and paid $200 for it that means I paid $28/year for that cooler and I spend way more than that in ice per a year filling it every 2 days or every 3. Also I doubt someone would want to do this but if you bought one of those smaller versions you could convert it into a livewell for bait but drilling a hole into a $120+ cooler might make some of use cringe a little.
  22. I saw those and the Rtic coolers. they are literally have the price and seem to be just as good if not a little better. The Rtic coolers have a little nicer handles than the yeti for opening the vacuumed on lid. I'll look into the siberian coolers as well thanks for the heads up. If you find any others I would greatly appreciate any other equivalent brands. You ain't kidding, I would like a cooler that I can throw in the trailer or back of the truck baking in the sun and still have a little ice 3 hours later. Right now my 48qt. igloo marine igloos aren't cutting it and what I have spent on coolers in the past couple years it adds up to about the same as one of those nice 64qt. guys. I like the idea of having everything stay cold for a couple days vs over night. They double as a nice beverage cooler at gatherings too. I was looking at the 65qt. cooler but trying to find a place to put it on the boat is about impossible. I want it out of the way so I'm not tripping over it all the time.
  23. Is there a section that is for equipment reviews? I think it would be great to have a section with honest product reviews. It just seems like there are daily questions about different products. I only asked because I have a question about a new style cooler I saw but will see about posting if eventually when I do a little more research.
