  1. Finding Bob on Facebook is a good way to get a hold him. He's a good guy and means well, just overwhelmed with orders.
  2. I was just having this conversation with my father a weeks back. Same exact fly behind the same exact flasher at the same depth and setback, 1 was getting hammered the other was not, only difference was the leader length on the flies. I'm typically at 24 inches from base of the hook to loop.
  3. I use the Light action 8 footers in the finger lakes for my rigger rods. The quality of the rods is okay and I don't think they will last much longer as I've had some for 3-4 seasons now. The action on them is great though. Makes a 3lb laker a lot more fun to catch and a 10lb laker is a real challenge.
  4. Let me know when the website is ready to start taking orders.
  5. Hey Kevin, I was hoping to scare you out of the bushes with that comment! I meant to send picture but lost your number. Here's the photo, not quite as big as some of yours but still a good one.
  6. Yeah, first weekend of bass season. Typically falls on Father's Day weekend. I'm hoping to take down the walleye division again this year. We caught this beast by accident last Saturday and had to release it.
  7. Hey everyone, I'm struggling to see my downriggers below 100 feet on my new fishfinder. Recently upgraded to the HDS 7 G2 touch and was able to track them find on my old HDS 7. Transducer has not changed but I'm sure that I'm missing something with the sensitivity or frequency. Currently using "Slow Trolling" mode and have the transducer running at 200 KHZ. **Update** After reading more it seems I should be using the 83KHZ setting for deeper water. I'm using 16lb sharks so cone angle and blowback shouldn't be an issue.
  8. Thanks guys, I appreciate all the information.
  9. I have both the new style and old style Cannons. The new ones seem a little less sturdy then the previous heavier plastic. Also, the dual holders are boom mounted
  10. Hi guys, I'm looking to start running divers in my spread but am concerned about my rod holders. Before punching new holes in the boat, I would like to run them from my new Mag 10's dual boom rood holder. Anyone have experience using them on Cannon holders? Are the plastic holders and swivel bases strong enough to handle the added strain? Currently running the riggers with 16lb Sharks.
  11. We saw very few marks as well. Seems the fish may still be in a winter pattern.
  12. I've run cowbells off the bottom with success. Huge smallmouth seem to appreciate them!
  13. Small lakers are biting, but all very deep.
  14. I catch walleye on spoons off leadcore, but never off a rigger. My guess would be super long leads of the ball.
  15. Taste the Rainbow and Lime UV Shine are really nice.
