Anyone else want to share big fish pics? They definately get you fired up for what hopefully will be a great season. Numbers are great but big fish are what you remember.

Primary urge now is mating, not eating(close second). It's mating season, try female estrus sounds, challenge sounds and throw in a little gray fox distress. Good luck.

Worst winter for running dogs I can remember. Dogs look at you like you have three heads 100 yards from the start.

Right around the corner. Can't wait, opening day of turkey is about as good as it gets. Will hit Ohio on April 20-21 as well. Two opening days=priceless!

Went calling at dusk. If it wasn't for snowmobile tracks I couldn't have walked to where I wanted to hunt. Apparently the yotes think the same, had tracks (and bloody pee) of a hot female and a good size male on the same tracks I walked in on. No shots, didn't see a thing.
The group I run dogs with in the southern tier took the weekend off last weekend, don't remember that happening in the past. Deeeeeep snow isn't a plus for anything.

But it's cool when we throw an arrow through it? We are all hunters. Kill as many as you can but it's awesome having them around.

Deer on my property are working hard to dig through the snow and find a meal. What are the ramifications both legal and ethical regarding feeding them?

Gary Ramming did one of my Browns and did an outstanding job. American Wildlife also does outstanding work as does Paul. A lot of great choices!

I agree but in the twenty years I lived there I've seen Dadys barn and Tommys with chunks of ice the size of Hyundais pressed against them and with the right conditions this year it could be a lot worse. Legacy spent a lot of time with dock work last spring and the weather gave us a big pass last year even though for a while it looked pretty bad. If it stays cold and we get more snow, and it gets warm and wet quick, it could be epic.

Ice jams on Sandy could pose a real problem if we get a rapid thaw and some big rain. My guess is that East Fork is frozen to the bottom.
