  4. The heavy snow in November crushed my 5 year old Double Bull Blind. I was going to put it to the curb, but something told md to google for repair advice. I found out that they are guaranteed for life, one quick phone call to the folks at Primos and the parts I needed were shipped out to me. I had to pay shipping. Took me about a half hour to make the repairs using the instructions they sent. Very pleased!!
  5. One more reason to get paid before you leave the dock!
  6. Snedden hooked me up!! Paid him on Monday, has items on Tuesday!
  7. My strategy during this collapse was to follow Yankee around and pick up his road kill. In my opinion the fishermen are the least of the threats to the survival of the salmon population. I also think the hatchery was up to something fishy several years ago resulting in the lower numbers. I heard a plausible explanation taking into account the harsh winter as well. Next season will be great!
  8. Two men hijack a charter boat in Niagara Co. http://www.eastniagarapost.com/2014/12/men-with-knife-force-way-to-niagara.html http://www.buffalonews.com/city-region/two-men-hijack-fishing-boat-to-slip-into-united-states-20141210
  9. Yes, he was using the Moonshine Shiver Minnow, a jig designed for ice fishing. Has become a hot casting jig as well.
  10. Click "Like" if you have caught fish on these lures!!
  11. I can say that the Taloras and TDR's have both served me well. My Taloras have over 800 days on them. I use the medium 8' ones. Taloras are graphite, TDR's are fiberglass, they have different feels to them. The TDR's are good to, but they are not Talora quality. I use TDR's for my coppers, as they are great fiberglass work horses. All that said my next downrigger rods will be custom "Short sticks" from Ernie Langtine.
  12. Ever see the viral video of the small 4 point trying to mount a teenage girl? I'm thinking there is a reason. It seems to me that the scents of hormones is more pervasive to the deer than the scent of human. That said, 50% of the times that I've taken a dump in the woods.....I've had deer come by to check me out. I'm thinking it's a scent thing because my fat ___ is not as sexy as Ray's!
  13. I have some Diawa SG27LCA's .....$80.00@ Some Garcia Ambassadors 5500lc $85.00@ Maybe 6-8 reels total I would have to check Used only for April Brown trout Message me if interested

  16. Yes....you've had enough.....put her up for the winter. Get her to a good mechanic.....get it fixed and get back at it next year!
  17. You will miss many good fishing days on Lake Ontario if you cancel on a forecast.
  18. The best boat to own is one you pay cash for! The season is wrapping up now....save $100 for the next 35 weeks and buy one in the spring. That's my 2 cents.
  19. Yes Ray......it is interesting especially when multiple experiences provide evidence of an issue.
  20. New to track stuff....liked the looks of the cannons.....should have known better.....if cisco made a ratchet holder it would be a done deal....I'll have to look closer at the Burt's!
  21. Spike, I'll work on a pic.....I think if you could pean over the ends of the pin you may prevent the problem.
  22. I tend to use things like this a little more than most....but I will sell 10 of them to you for a total of $800 .... If you care to put your money where your mouth is..... Call me and they are yours...716-560-2878
  23. There are 2 pressed in pins that hold the ratchet handle in. Due to quality control and design flaws these pins work there way partially out and when the next fish hits the dipsy on the holder and you grab the rod the thin aluminum that holds the pin rips and the holder becomes a $100 paperweight. This happened with one already and would have happened to a second one today.....
