  2. Nick, You may want to check out the Jazz music at the Water Front Landing in Lewiston this evening ...... A friend of mine is playing there.....tribute to Bob Marley.......music starts around 9. The boss and I are planning to get there in the 8 o'clock hour.
  3. Back in the late 70's....we had this super hot lure called a Michigan Cricket...man they worked every time out!
  4. Oh ...... By the way I think it will be great....can't wait..... Thanks Chad!
  5. Ok...did any one else spend 5 min. Looking for the app........ Or........ Am I the only ADHD, stuck perpetually in the 9th grade moron?
  6. Hmmmm, I heard a 15 min story and none of that was mentioned!
  7. Dang....too late....knowing how these boards caught fish I was ready to break the bank for them!
  8. Nice fish there....heard about your fish from Sharon at Narby's.....I wish I would have Been 20 min earlier to see it in person. Thanks for posting!!
  9. All I want to know is who's side of the boat caught more fish?
  10. Vince, Add to your list of exocits: Power dams on nearly every trib 18 mile (superfund) creek Nutrification runoff Ontario's (not so) golden crescent It's all about trade offs, except that the trade has already been made!
  11. Have tiller motor --- Want to add controls to console let me know if you have a spare kit: 716-560-2878
  12. If I were a just for fun fisherman fishing with my boys, I would run only spinning outfits on riggers with 12# test. In fact, I don't even think I would use dipsys out over 150' and certainly would not use copper over 200'. I would also learn to catch em jigging and would never leave 100 fow except for when/ if I wanted to chase summer steel! BUT, since I don't fish for fun much, I use the heaviest line possible and high quality, high capacity level winds on heavy rods that move fish quickly out of the water.
  13. You may want to post a link.....it took me a while to find the correct place....
  14. Use all of your lines to attract the fish.....we call it our trolling spread or "program", think three dimensionally -- what does the fish see as you invade their niche?
  15. I remove the front hook on those with 3 hooks because the front hooks end up in the gill plate of a hooked fish causing the fish to twirl in the water. From my limited experience Rusty hooks are a result of improper storage, solve the storage problem and the rust will go away.
  16. Penn 320LD. Lever Drag Very little use -- like new -- with copper line, Captain's Cove price tag still on reel. ($110.00) $90.00 or BO
  17. Reel has not been used much, spooled with 50# power pro. Missing tension control cap and name plate on handle, clicker is functioning but quiet. $90.00 with line $70.00 with out line
  18. It is not that complicated and you are right ...... You just need the right spoon. Get a Moonshine ratchet jaw in the standard size and run it just like your running what you run now. Just be sure to keep it off of the bottom, you don't want to donate $8 lures to the rock fish!!
  19. The purple glow spoons are great, to my knowledge only one company makes them as the formulas for the paint are proprietary. I will typically run carbons, green jeans, ratchet jaw and geezers in the early morning and switch over to nurple's, little bruisers, mad man and razor burn as the sun gets higher. This may have to do with the fact that the charge on the lures is greater after some time in the sun. BUT,,,,,don't over think it! Some mornings I will stray from my norm and start with a bruiser and not be able to keep it in the water. We are dealing with organisms with a very small brain and a tendency to think chunks of metal look like food!
