    The friend I fished with had a great throttle hand, we would mark bait or fish and he would settle the riggers and bump the speed, or he did a nice s turn. That got the Lakers to go for us. One that I lost came up barely hooked under the chin. We also had a few bumps on the wire dipsy.     Front of center, if you watch an arrow exit a bow in slow mo. It oscillates a lot, putting the extra weight forward in the arrow helps it maintain kinetic energy and fly with more energy and less oscillation, also oscillation has to do with arrow spine. Not a physics nut but it's would be a cool study for a high school kid to run numbers and come up with the optimal foc and arrow weight/ spine. Probably have a lot to do with the bow and how much of a hatchet cam it has too. ( Stored energy) Sent from my C771 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

    Great job on the bows Mike! We did the same setting up just south of vine valley. We kept it close to the East shore and really did well on the sd fly bite. Used a Seneca special spindoctor and a dirty white boy fly, "thanks minion". Ended up going 7 for 11 on the day and lost two fish that ripped drag and were gone on 5 color core. " Bows" Huge congratulations to Joe Mike and all the teams for a great day and the bows you all brought in were studs! my memory on the lunker is hazy but it was awfully close to ten lbs, nice fish Joe Joe!     We fished the FLTA On Keuka this Sunday and fishing was dismal at best. We boated 13 Lakers not one of which were over 2lbs. We did drop two fish that may have gone 4lbs but what we didn't catch were the huge marks hanging from 80-130' down. The small fish we did keep for the weigh in had empty stomachs and one did cough up a small 2" perch. Our hot lure was a gold scorpion with perch colors on a seven color core. All lines took fish except our one rigger, changed depth, lures (perch pin minnows even) and leads, nothing, funny how one rigger can be cold like that. Largest Laker of the day for the tourney was under 5 lbs. The fish I did filet were ready to spawn and had fairly loose eggs.     Check BTU output for your house size and make sure the pellets you buy are %100 hardwood. Mine needs a good clean out about every week and you are limited to the size hopper for time away from home. Mine gets about 14 hours out of 30lbs of pellets. If you get blended pellets they don't put out near the heat but may be just what you need for early in the fall or late spring. As for brand I don't have an opinion.     I have had a pair on my land for the past three years ( Tompkins co) just saw one a week ago near that area. They have decimated the squirrel population. Its great sitting in a stand and not hearing a chirping red squirrel! They haven't seemed to hurt my grouse population. Turkey's are down in numbers but I'm seeing a few broods in the ten to thirteen number, they will rebound. They leave a really cool track in the snow with their tail looking like a snake path.     Man Mike nicely done on the box, I did the same with glow early and the bite was very slow to start. We started on the North end and the fish seemed to have moved from the previous day. Ended up catching about a dozen Lakers and a nice smallie. Lost our first fish which I am sure was a silver and impressively ended up 13th with three Lakers totaling over 18 lbs.
