  2. wanted to find some new spots for this weekend....so we headed to the west side fish were there deep 100 to 120 just would not hit anything....fished from 5 to 8 and we had 1 hit did get to see either a LL or rainbow come out of the water about 2 feet to grab a fly...that was pretty cool this was the only fish landed
  3. I used this setup quit a bit in the beginning, however I have not used it in quit a while I was getting horrible hookup rates with the cheap bass pro jigs I had, the hooks were horrible, this system helped because I could buy good treble hooks I got some of Hermits jigheads and now thats all I'm useing, them hooks are sharp, and thinner, really helps with setting the hook you should see my poor thmbs
  4. MOB, thats awesome, looks like you got a couple fishing buddies for life

  9. thanks man... I was pumped I was casting 100feet or so, and by the time the jig hit the bottom I was over it and could start jigging it I lost one I thought might have been a brown or LL... it smashed it about 30 foot down on the drop...pulled a 100 feet of line then spit it
  10. well...we faught off big waves all day could not get jigs to drop for nothing....finnally figured it out fished from 80-120 FOW fished 1 mile south to 1 mile north of AES landed 5 dropped 7 had our first double then I caught this monster...i'm 6'1" and 330pounds for referance... my wifes went 10 pounds and this one would of swallowed that one whole quick picture and back to the deep she went my buddy caught his first
  11. well the night bite wasn't any better.... started at AES and hit 3 more spots on the way back to myers fished from 5:30 to 8:00 had 4 tail pullers no solid hookups marked a lot of fish...just could not put anything out they wanted

  14. sounds like a good day...it was a great day to be on the water i should of went to cayuga owasco had a ton of boat traffic
  15. well it's safe to say...I didn't get much work done this morning kept checking on the live blog after that I left work early...changed my prop and headed to the lake...got there about 5 and fished until 8 I had a box full of Hermit Jigheads and 4" paddle tails... had a lot of short strikes...and burnt through a bunch of paddle tails...my boat looks like a paddletail graveyard lost the first 2 good hookups...needed to get the drag set a little better, after that I landed the next 3....5 to 6 pounds it was a great night...Hermit those jigheads work great
  16. i've read all the old post, but still have a question...I hit a boulder and need to replace my prop, I bought the boat second hand and don't know if this was factory or someone changed it I want to put the same prop back on 14X17...motor 2000, 70hp, johnson the plate on the side of the motor does not have a WOT rpm... just a idle RPM 800 with the current prop it runs 5,500RPM WOT does this seem rite I love the way it performs with this prop, however I don't want to over rev the motor thanks in advance Paul
