  1. For the new pulley design you need a boom end adapter kit 3880220 and the new swivel head 3770200. Angling Outpost has them. As well as fish307.com. Might be more $ than you'd like to spend but it is worth it in my opinion. They also have what you need if you are only replacing.
  2. While you are replacing it you may want to upgrade to the newest pulley design - they are better. You will need to verify that the new pulley will fit your boom.
  3. Nice post Total Chaos. Well said. Personally I use Grim Reapers with an Excalibur crossbow. When I was hunting with compounds I always used Muzzy fixed blades. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  4. That's what it's all about! Great job. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  5. I have a storm perch crankbait that has caught all species including large lakers. Of course they don't sell that specific color anymore. 2 years ago I caught several coho on Lake Huron using chartreuse crawler harnesses with live crawlers!! Fun day. 6. Scotty's are my first choice (all species with varying tension models) and Big Jon rubber band releases for big kings. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  7. Last summer I replaced the gunnels on a smaller Sea Nymph. I tore all the old material out....then rewired my boat (a good time to do it). I strengthened the gunnel brackets with spray foam and treated 2x4 pieces. I then cut full length 2x8 boards to the shape of the gunnels. The boards were treated. I glued the boards in place with monster glue and also screwed them at the bracket locations. I then glued (carpet glue) indoor/outdoor carpet - the kind you use for carpet runners - to the gunnels. I use a lot of rod holders, rod trees, and downriggers on my boat, so I wanted something rock solid. I can pretty much hang from a rod holder now and the gunnel won't move. The new gunnels are obviously thicker now than factory....but they still look like factory with the new carpet. I will try to locate some pics of the restoration. My side gunnels are factory aluminum and it is the top boards that I replaced. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  8. Sorry about that. I wasn't aware of the 200lb max draw weight restriction. The new Matrix 310 would fit the bill. I like the Matrix models due to their shorter limbs / compact size. Comfortable for me or my daughter. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  9. The 405 is a beast. I don't think it represents Excalibur's product line very well. It may have been too quick to market. I had a Parker Cyclone as well and I bought a 380 Matrix, which I love. The smaller Excalibur crossbows (matrix 380, 355) are more refined, in my opinion. Go to a store and try some out. I like the 'in the field' string replacement capability of the recurves. 10. It's worth the upgrade to go with Okuma Convector line counter reels. I have two each of the 15, 20, and 30 series. Best reel for the money in my opinion. The 45 works good for dipsies but I find the 30 is the best all around size. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  11. The Mads product is a great deal. I made 2 sets of triples myself last year and I just about broke even if you consider what they are charging for these and the fact that I bought 2 sets of factory swivel bases for them. Yes, you can also find GREAT deals on eB.
  12. How did you attach the skis to the bottom? I'd like to do that to mine. Thanks.
  13. Did you try Mike's Reel Repair out in western Michigan? It 'appears' that he has the part available online -- but you would have to confirm! If this is not the part you are talking about - sorry about that ! Here is the link: http://www.mikesreelrepair.com/cannon-1280001-shaft-drive-m10a-p-101732.html
  14. I always run swivel bases made by Traxstech, Pursuit, and/or Bert's. I bought new Mag10 STXs when they came out and swapped out the plastic swivel bases for Traxstech bases before I left the store. Of course this only works if you run track systems. I don't like dealing with the low profile bases. Not enough room to get my hands in there and also at risk of breaking, though I think the risk is fairly low. You could also buy the stainless Cannon swivels....but they are very expensive. You see them on Ebay from time to time. Another option would be to make your own.
  15. Wow, great deal. I have the same ones....still going strong. Yes, the switches are momentary. I believe they can be upgraded. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  16. I would try selling a few on EBay to test the waters. Very nice find! These lures are sought after here in Michigan for large pike fishing (casting at night). We usually modify them (paint).
  17. Scottie's for salmon and offshore tackle (medium and light tension) for walleye and steelhead
  18. I use 50 pound Fireline braid with a 30 pound Pline fluorocarbon leader on dipsies and 30 and 20 pound Pline fluoro for down riggers. Used snubbers for a few seasons on dipsies but don't feel I need them.
  19. These will also flush mount to a board or deck. They have two threaded holes for a track mount and four through holes for a flush mount.
  20. SOLD!!: Cannon Dual Axis Adjustable Rod Holder - Track Mount. New in box (June 2013). Box has not been opened. This is an extra one that I don't need this year. $SOLD$.
