  1. used to fish a lot at a place called Wilson hill. has a boat launch. Bass and pike
  2. I have three Shimano 800 and one 800lc. The lc and one other reel only have one seasons use and the other two, 2 seasons. All look good and spooled with 27lb. leadcore and 30 lb. backer. I find them bulky and drags too sensitive for my liking. $160.00 for the lc and $140.00 for the other three. If you take all 4 the price is $550. Pick up. I am located in Barre (albion) area . Call Ken at 5854140073 SOLD
  3. Real nice day. We are just leaving st. Petersburg. Fished with Captain Morgan and mate Will. Loaded up on snapper, hog fish 23 miles off shore. They also run a good trip. Beautiful weather. Heading back to the cold!!
  4. Are you fishing from a boat? If so Irondequoit Bay should be good. We pulled our pontoon in December and the fishing was great. 20 to 40 foot with fat head minnows on bottom. From shore I cannot help you Sent from my SM-G925V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  5. Rick, We fished the same area Sunday but a little deeper. 100-130. Managed two small salmon, one nice steelhead and three lakers in a few hours. We did not mark any bait and very few fish either. They should start showing up soon. I hope anyway. see you at the dock this weekend.
  6. Deebsey, We just purchased a new pontoon last year for perch fishing and love the vinyl floor but it is a little slippery with the snow and ice. Had carpet on the one before and did not have an issue with the snow. For us the ease of cleaning and the appearance of the vinyl out weighs the snow and ice issue but we do pull the boat out of the bay usually before much snow. One of the other guys put in snaps and bought a rubber floor mat that he could take in and out to help with the issue. Ken

  13. Earl, Doris, Hope you do that trip to Alaska. I have been talking about it for a few years now myself but never seem to find the time. By the way, 70 is not that old mister!! Good luck and enjoy many more years. Ken/Laura
  14. We are looking for a boat slip on Irondequoit Bay starting September and ending when the weather turns bad. We have a pontoon boat, 25 ft.. Not looking for a freeby. We currently have been docking at Sutters but between the low water and ice it has become troublesome to say the least. Would like it away from the north and south ends. Any help would be appreciated. There are two other pontoon boats looking also but if you only have one that is okay. thanks Ken/Laura
  15. Dave, I just purchased the 859ci for my pontoon boat. cannot tell you how it works yet but thought I would mention that Cabelas was $100 more than Hodge Marine after taxes and shipping. I paid $538.00 delivered. Ken
  16. Adam, Nice post. As Paul said , you are welcome to stop by the boat and talk and we will give you the latest info. Only difference between Paul and I is that it may take two beers to get me loosened up! We will be at the boat and on the water Thursday through Sunday. Have a good day. Ken
  17. They are Okuma. We have had 6 of them for 3 years now. We have them set up for spring fishing with ten pound line. Zero issues with them but again we have not used them later on with heavier line and bigger fish.
  18. Absolutely. Look forward to meeting you. Ken
  19. I will be around Saturday putting equipment on the boat. Stop by and introduce yourself and we can talk. Ken Rustylure
  20. Jason, No reason to be sorry. I have heard this statement about boundaries from a number of fishermen. The reason Rick is if you have boundaries then everyone is fishing against the other team and not against the "boat'. All are fishing the same conditions. In rough water a lot of smaller boats cannot run 30 miles safely and some just cannot afford to do so. Not saying you should do it just letting you know what I have heard. Overall a good job. If you need any help let us know.
  21. We were one of the boats that had equipment stolen last year at Sutters. They did catch this group but two weeks later we were robbed again and they too stole everything from our pontoon so obviously the Bay has a problem. Nice to be at the Oak all summer and not have any issues. Guess we will need to strip the pontoon everyday we leave.
  22. Best way to get them out of the boat is with a radio believe it or not. Just put the radio in the boat and crank up the tunes. They will not stay but I can't tell you what your neihbors will say.
  23. Steve, Welcome to the oak. See you in the spring. Ken
