  4. Just wanted to give a shout out to Dylan Margeit for breaking the previous record for a 1 day total 5 fish box weight this past Sunday on Cayuga. Dylan weighed a 5 fish box consisting of 3 lake trout and 2 browns for 44lbs 11 oz. He also took linker for the day with a laker that went 11lbs 8oz and took over for brown of the year with a 10lb 2oz brown. The previous record was 41lb 2oz out of Owasco in June of 1992. Great job Dylan and crew! To everyone else Cayuga is fishing amazing get out there! If you have the chance as Well don't forget to sign up for the Tom Margeit memorial tourney August 11th going to be some impressive catches I'm sure!
  5. We went out around noon and absolutely tore up the lake trout caught a few landlocks too
  6. It's rated for 125lbs is it accurate at small weights?
  7. The trick to Seneca is hitting it when the bait is right for sure. The fish die offs last year scared me but hopefully that's over was glad to see the flta boxes for sure. But the abundance of bait is it's challenge the over-abundance of bait and die offs are natural with alewives. Thats actually why kings were stocked in the great lakes was to thin the bait a little so that dead bait didn't scatter the shores during die offs. Hopefully we can get enough piggy trout and salmon to knock the bait populations down a little! There's still hope for Seneca!
  8. Solo with a fish on would be fun
  9. The trick is to have your partner hold the rod with tension while you hold down on the line below the fleas and go across the mono on the fleas there has to be tension though your right that's the trick
  10. How were you going about using the flea tool Les?
  11. Cayuga has been a weird baby puke milky green
  12. Honestly if you hit the dollar General you can make one for about $2 with store brand Velcro and a free paint stick from the local hardware store. Think it's best to leave this one off the market
  13. You too hope you can make it to margeit memorial tourney! Good luck
  14. It works great we used it on lake o the other day I felt like It had just changed the trolling game for summer. Les had you heard about this before or was this the first time?

  16. Severne like stated above and same program
  17. Ok so I'm stealing this from another site it's actually from the lake Ontario discussion Facebook group do to lake Ontario having a huge outbreak of the fishhook water fleas like we have in the finger lakes the past few weeks. At times it's been unbearable up on the big lake heavy mono isn't working on rigger rods and picking the fleas off isn't working as they are sticking like glue to the line. However recently a guy posted a tech tip called the flea file. Basically it's a paint stir stick with a male side of Velcro glued or stuck to it and you hold the line tight and flick the Velcro stick across the line down and away from you and the fleas come right off. You can do this even when someone is fighting a fish on a rigger rod to keep the fleas from building up on the tip of the rod. Once the Velcro gets full of fleas you can rinse it over the side of the boat and it's good to go again. It's kind of messy because you get fleas all over the back of boay but is a great way to deal with the fish hook fleas us finger lakes guys deal with every year and keep fishing. I just had to share it here!
  18. Boy I would take a thick lake Ontario flea day over a mild finger lakes flea day any time! Hate fleas in general but I'm jealous of the difference in the strains
  19. What's there? Any of them trolling rods?
  20. Yup that's a problem! Well good luck fishing!
  21. I sure hope it's good bow fishing again this summer. Love when you can go out late july/August and catch 20-40 of them right in the high heat of the day!
