  1. Good report sorry bout the pike and for the record Hughes is open my dad was there yesterday checking while trib fishing
  2. Must've been nice when america was free. Sad to say myself and the rest of our younger guys will never see that
  3. Those browns are fixing to be in for it
  4. Thanks to you both. The poor man ones are a good deal. Still gunna look for something used but those look the best now
  5. In search of a pair of triple tree rod holders preferably adjustable but fixed might work too. Looking for local deal only (near Watkins glen, Elmira or Ithaca)
  6. Spring is almost upon us I have 140+ screen printed snow goose tanglefree slammer socks and 12 outlaw snow goose silhouettes willing to trade for 2 high quality or 3 good quality copper set ups may also entertain Canada goose decoy offers. Slammer socks are in good condition most have never even been assembled. Some are missing a few of the rubber washers for assembly but can easily be replaced probably at no cost by calling the company. The socks retail for $699 alone plus the silhouettes are worth around $40
  7. Thanks thinking of trying there or deans cove gunna try a deep water system this time instead of flat lining
  8. Is the t falls launch usable? Looking to fish Sunday if I don't fish Ontario. Thanks
  9. Awesome info thanks a bunch
  10. Can you do that with a tx22 as well?
  11. I'm sure this has been discussed somewhere but I can't find the thread anywhere. I'm very new to inline boards and just picked up a few tx22s a pair of leadcore combos and a 300 copper and from everything I am seeing everyone prefers to set boards up so they don't release when a fish hits and this makes sense to me but I have no idea how to go about this any help would be appreciated
  12. Anyone think coast guard launch might be useable by Sunday?
  13. Wish someone had an old 840 for sale
  14. Definitely will take that into consideration probably better off buying new
  15. Thanks guys all good info gunna keep my eye out for a fairly cheap one I learned last year how big of a price of the puzzle temp is and I can tell that with me transitioning from Seth green rig fishing to down riggers and dypsies I'm going to have to pay much closer attention to temp!
  16. Is a fish hawk TD worth it for the price as an intro temp device?
  17. Pap I completely agree I think I catch fish just as well as the next guy on the finger lakes using my dads hand-me-down old spoons with older tactics I have been buying some of the newer stuff aswell but 9 times out of 10 the best producer award usually goes to a spoon that's older than I am a lot of that time its a Sutton 44, 29 or my personal favorite a 72
  18. Did anyone produce well with the long shallow as well I hear wayyy more talk of the short shallows and I'm kinda getting worried I made the wrong choice picking up a bunch of long shallows at the niagra show
  19. Thanks sk8!
  20. I've seen them run off big otter boards and the system for doing that was pretty unique and it worked great we ran 4 seth greens at a time off that boat but never an inline just wondered if one was good enough to hold that weight I troll out of a small boat otherwise I would pull a jug more. I'm looking to get out of running rigs and into the down rigger, dypsie, copper lead core thing but would like to have the old standbys available in a pinch
  21. Would also like to know if anyone has ever heard of or used a sailfish spoon made in Canada I have a bunch of these laying around that I inherited from my uncle rick angle years ago who owned creek side bait&tackle in Montour but I have never gave them much of a chance do to being a skeptic of their design ( look like they would just spin in the water)
  22. I have a couple quick questions first being has anyone ever attempted to run rattle traps for flatlining browns was just thinking of giving this a go as I have a limited selection of stick baits (did purchase some bay rats at the Niagara show this past weekend) but came upon a decent amount of rattle traps in my bass tackle. Next I was wondering if anyone has attempted to run a set green rig off an inline board was thinking that if a bigger inline board can handle 500 or more foot of copper it could probably handle a 28 or 32oz sinker to get a rig off to the side of the boat instead of running one on a jug rig directly behind the boat and in the way. Just testing some thoughts thanks in advance
  23. Looks like a good day. Lots of good marks?
  24. Did well on Cayuga all summer but haven't fished since late August wanted to put together a good fish fry today just made the wrong move guess I know next time haha
