  1. I completely agree that new isn't always better if it caught fish once why won't it work now and we all know that some days there's only one thing on the boat that is going to catch fish that day. And I just want to have as many options as possible. Starting to realize I need a bigger boat to accomplish that lol
  2. Thank you very much thats exactly what I was looking for. How far do you trail these behind cowbells?
  3. OK so seems as dead bait has been a topic of discussion recently and I have started messing with cowbells a little bit I was wondering if anyone has knowledge of how to tie an old fashion Seneca gang hook set up for trolling sawbellies. I know my uncle Rick Angle who owned the Creek side bait and tackle in Montour years ago used to tie these and sold quite a few and I remember him trying to show me when I was a young kid but I just can't seem to remember how it's done and I don't even know if they are still even worth the time anymore. Thanks in advance to anyone with some input on this
  4. Out of all the fish I've caught on Seneca only one fish had bait in it and it was packed with 6 sawbellies however the others were empty but I'm sure there is bait there
  5. I purchased a good selection of bay rats but can never get them to fire as bad as I want them to and finding shallow reef runners is a pain
  6. Wish there were lures with the same style and action of a rapala but not made from balsam... Sometimes it's hard to beat a good old f9 and I love the new scatter series but they don't last long
  7. They are definitely not a quality lure anymore. I have broke quite a few fortunately never causing a lost fish though.
  8. Nice job! Is there any size to some of these salmon your catching? Recently over there most the salmon I've caught have been sub-legal
  9. Good luck to all fishing the FLTA tourney on Seneca tomorrow! Tight lines!
  10. Or "finger lakes sunrise" because I'm sure we can all agree sometimes there is just nothing in this world more beautiful and we all take or have that buddy who takes a pic of it peaking over the hills above a loaded downrigger rod in the morning
  11. Toothpaste with a little elbow grease
  12. Those are nice combos! We like to run a blueish or white Spinny or a paddle pulling a similar colored fly out between 50-60 on a zero setting on a size 1 dipsy especially on Cayuga that has produced a lot of landlocks and bows. A chrome dodger or paddle with a Sutton spoon 18-24inches behind it works well too
  13. Damn this should've been advertised better would've been a good derby to fish...bummer
  14. I can't complain about that to much mine only gives me crap about fishing gear 6 months per year.... The other 6 months is at least about hunting equipment
  15. This site costs me more money everytime I log on so I completely understand. This week alone with each item an estimate after taxes and shipping: $60 worth of FLT spoons $550 for new Scotty riggers $80 for eagle feet rigger mounting system $180 for a pair of triple trees For the total being why I'm working over time on a saturday to buy all this stuff lol And still have to get a set of Troutmans weights for the downriggers. And plan on buying some more FLT spoons eventually. But as the old saying goes give a man a fish feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and he'll be broke for life (or something like that)
  16. They had an option for a plate with a pin system allowing for 90 degree rotion or removal
