  1. June 10th is my birthday! Maybe I'll get that 50" My wife and I will be there for sure. We're looking forward to seeing everyone there. Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  3. Thank you Chad. There is allot of info there for a new guy like me to take in. Very well said. Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  4. Does anyone know if this change would have had any affect on the results in any recent MI derbys? I have only fished a few in the last year as a member but I don't recall anyone in those derbys producing over three fish. I'm looking forward to attending some of these tourneys that present this concern in the coming season. My opinion is the opposite for what it's worth. I believe that we should only be scoring (let alone awarding prizes for) mature legal fish. In my opinion the process of CPR on legal "trophy" sized fish should be what we as a club want to promote and put in the spot light. As opposed to promoting and rewarding the unnecessary handling and photo taking of sub legal fish. I also think this change is one step towards the mindset that every angler deserves a trophy just for participating. When I go out and win a muskie tourney I'd like to know it's because I out fished every other angler that day. Not because of some handicap rule. (As in the golf scoring system.) These are just my thoughts and opinions. I'm am all for whatever change the club makes. Whether it lines up perfectly with my views isn't what's most important to me. We are all part of the club for the same reasons. Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  5. Who is setting this limit tiger stalker? DEC? Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  6. I'm in at Lamoka. Id be happy to take a day to help the cause and learn a little. Great change on the team format!!! That's a step in the right direction in my opinion Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  7. I believe that if you only want to create contour maps using ac live the autochart program will work fine for you. I still recommend calling humminbird customer service. It's typically a long wait but it's the best way to get your questions accurately answered. Their phone number is 1-800-633-1468 Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  8. Jay it can't be more obvious once you've created a map and compared to navionics. I sold my stock in navionics the day after I made my first chart. Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  9. John I have the autochart pro program for the ac live. You will want one of the autochart programs. Without that you can record and use only 8 hrs of recordings. This would be fine if your just trying to map a certain area and then erase it and start over someplace else. So far I haven't used the extra features that the pro program offers. But to me it's worth the extra 100 if your going to put the time in recording sonar and creating bottom hardness maps and such. Thid is a different process than recording data points w ac live. 10. I have used the humminbird feature on my helix 10 for one season. After using this you will throw your navionics charts in the garbage. If your a troller you will immediately see the advantages. For your casting you will have to spend a little more time charting, but it also has it's advantages. After you have spent some time generating your chart of a body of water I have found that when coupled with your side imaging graph it enables you to really nail down prime holding spots for whatever species your targeting. Money well spent in my opinion. Not to mention the fact that your now able to map bodies of water that previously had no chart. Have fun, your going to love it. 11. Get well soon Steve! At least you've got some time to do so before the season opens. Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  12. Awesome. All of it Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  13. Will do. Be safe out there bud. Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  14. Glad to hear your out there tman. Thanks for the updates and thanks for doing your part to introduce the idea of "growing" big tigers to people that otherwise may have never had the idea cross their mind. Good luck this season! I'll see you when I get out there. Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  15. Well good luck when you get out! I hope you make a few new friends. Or see some old friends. Lol If you see a white boat open bow with a goofy looking guy driving it come say hello. Chances are good it will be me. Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  16. I think the first paragraph that Steve wrote, and the first comment John made say it all. The best way to protect the fishery is propper release technics and educating instead of bashing the guys that don't do it how we all know it should be done. I think if everyone thinks back to the beginning of their muskie days they will remember things they also may have done wrong. Chances are someone put the idea of doing it right into their head and that's what started them on the correct path to protect the fisheries they love. That is usually all it takes to change an anglers technic for the better, a friendly hint of how to do what's best for the fish. The power off suggestion will go much farther than the other ways in my opinion. Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  17. The lake was glass yesterday. You guys got a couple at waneta in the muskies Inc tourney right rbochan? Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  18. I launched at the campground yesterday. The water level is above normal and the fish were tight lipped as always. Good luck if you make it out there! Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  19. Nice job! Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  20. I believe that you will find that muskie are everywhere in that lake. It's more a question of how you prefer to hunt for them. Good luck! Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  21. Good time guys. Nice to meet some new people and see some familiar faces. Thanks Jim, Steve, and whoever else helped for putting it together. Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  22. I launched at the campground yesterday. I had no trouble getting my 19ft spectrum off/onto the trailer. The water level is still low so be cautious but I think most guys can launch safely at either launch ramp. Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  23. I give you credit for being out there this morning. Let alone in a kayak. Thanks for the update. I haven't been there in a couple weeks. Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  24. Nice work! Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  25. Sorry to hear about the wasted trip. Thanks for updating everyone. Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
