I have an 86 Merc . I had a lot of carb issues with it . I put ethanol gas before we knew we should not use it . It disintegrated the hoses and tiny pieces got in the jets . Gas was dripping from the bottom of the carb . I had it rebuilt by Bruce and it ran great . It happened about 5 more times after that as I think particles were in the lines . I had the carb off that many times to clean it out . I would spray WD 40 into the carb and dump it out on a paper towel and find small sand grain size pieces of plastic . I finally put a small fuel filter just ahead of the carb and one see thru on the tank fuel line . Problem solved .

My brother who is influential in Orleans county said he has pushed to keep the county boat launch open in a text to me today . He also said that the state has not closed theirs yet and they are waiting to be instructed as to when to close the county launch . The way I see it , the longer this goes , the less of a chance for it to close . So cross your fingers .

I know that the guidelines in place are probably working . Here is my question When we are told it is safe to come out , if there is no vaccine , I still have just as much of a chance to get the virus , correct ? It's not like it's just going to go away . So in reality we are not safer , just prolonging what may be the inevitable . If that is the case , then this must be being done so that the health care system won't be overrun . But I think we were told that .

So for all you Bernie or Van Jones fans , here is a small taste of how it will go in a socialist , or communistic gov . Told what you can and can't do , where you can go . A good portion of the population dependent on the Gov for their next paycheck . Hard to get food / etc. Lots of fun , ain't it .

Just got off the phone with someone influential who told me that all the boat launches will be closed soon . Said they got a call from the state to close down and Gov said to shut them down . Orleans county was fighting to keep them open but were told to shut them down .

Someone lost a,very nice and expensive net . I would guess a bass guy . I found one a few years back and put it on here . And it got back to its rightful owner And get this . I saw what I think was the cowl off a Honda outboard today in the weeds about 1 mile or so south of the thruway int the northbound lane of 390 .

It can't be yours That thing ain't big enough for the fish you catch And you drove right by it and kept going

Let the lure out 20 ft +_ , hook it to the release , put the rod in the holder, let it down to where the bait or fish are, set the drag ,drive the boat . Can't get much more simple than that. Need a speed gauge ? A cheap version of that is the same lure you are running on a spare rod , hang it over the side and look at it .

What pray tell is this " Gary D rig " of which you speak ? Is there such a thing and what does it do ?

Oh yeah , and I forgot this part . Important . I fish alone most of the time small boat. On the strike , if it's a good fish , and fall it all ways is , I leave the rod in the holder , pop the other rod and reel it in as fast as I can ,put the boat in neutral and play the fish out not being dragged by the boat . Usually around 5 min to land . After I land the fish and get organized I point the bow into the wind or current and head straight back to my weigh point . I can't tell you how many times I have had a hit before I got the second rod set . When I fish my big boat , sometimes it takes me a half hour to get back to my weigh point .
