    The OMC outboards of that era are prone to those issues . I had a 55 Johnson that did the same thing . I would change the coil and it would last a,trip or 2 . I think what happens is it runs fine till it gets hot then it shuts down and runs on 1 cylinder . It wound up being the spark amplifier or power pack . This happened to 3 other motors of that era I know about . Question .. Is it running on all cylinders ?

    I saw three bait fish schools,this morning . Dawn to 8 . I ran out to 70 ft and set down in bait and fish . Put them down , rod goes off , drop it , and that was it. Not a lot of marks today . I may go back to fishing for warm water species .

    Tommy at East Fork Pro did my 1986 OMC cobra a few years back after 2 sets of point failed in 2 weeks . Boat never ran better and I get better gas mileage .

    Yes I judge speed by all that also and have for years , but I have been struggling this spring( sounds like most have out my way ) and I doubt what I am doing when I do . So I figure for 100$ I can have piece of mind . Maybe It makes a difference , maybe it doesn't . The thing looks simple enough , maybe I make one .

    A guy I know who lives in Spencerport says the creek behind his house is higher than he has ever seen it today Also Coyote K said Sandy creek behind his house is also very high Also today . Anybody know what's up ? Are they draining the canal to try and raise the lake ?

    I have, no speed indicator on my small boat other than my handheld GPS for SOG . I can't get a paddle add on for my depth finder and I'm not going to drop 900$ on a fish hawk . Anyone have any experience with the Luhr Jensen manual type indicator for 75$ ?

    First light to 8 this morning 60 to 90 Nice temp break and scum line Not a great screen but saw a few.Lakers on bottom No hits

    They should look into getting the same security software that was used for the last election . There is no way that could EVER be hacked . Or so we're told .

    First light this morning till 8 Started close with sticks but no hits Switched to spoons and worked my way out . Got good surface temp and green water . Maybe its working it's way down our way and the kings won't be far behind . Managed a Laker down 75 and a coho down 30 . Did not Mark any bait and no fish other than the Lakers on bottom..

    How does it feel to be canceled ? Some prominent Dems have said anyone who supported Trump was not worthy to even hold a job and should be shunned . And we should be " deprogrammed" . So now we are outraged ? Please spare me . What's good for the goose . if a Biden voter was on my boat and I knew it , he probably would regret getting on board . Maybe we get a law saying I have to take them .

    My son who lives in Cary NC says all the stations around him are out . All this over some guys who hacked into the pipeline computer system ? It's a good thing those guys went around election time . Or were they ? Get ready to be bent over on gas prices. I knew one way or another the price would go up .

    Nice of you to blend a hand But you can buy a cheap one for 10 to 15 $ and put a broom stick on it to make it longer . Nice thing to have .

    As you walk out on the big pier , on the bay side from about 100 yards to the main channel is good for warm water species . The corner where you start to walk north is the best spot fishing in the bay . I would think the channel where the swim area is to the small pond would be good because of the warm water .

    After going out deeper yesterday to find cold black water , and seeing my rigger weight down 20 ft and getting skunked I decided to try in close this morning . First light I started close to port and ran my trusty Rebels . Got this one to take on the edge of the colored water .

    For all you panfish guys , I have caught about 100 since Sat . Mostly keeper perch on the smaller size with some good ones mixed in . With a bonus steelhead first cast this morning Jigs under a float

    I fished close to port and fished dawn to 8 . 6 to 20 ft , good temp nice color nice mud edge ,no hits for 3 trips doing that . I'm done in there . I was fishing the creek off my dock yesterday and the in and out current was ripping .

    The piers at Oak Orchard are IMO the best . 25 min west on the parkway If the wind is from the west , get on the east pier . If its from the east , get on the west Krocidile spoons in the smaller sizes are my best . Cleos 1/3 or 2/5 oz . Silver blue, green or Orange . Also stickbaits and rattletraps work if the water is stained . Don't forget the net .

    And on a side note , how much warm water species spawning habitat has been lost for this year ? Many of the shallow bays and swampy areas are dry this year .

    I think it is 3/16 " braided nylon rope . And i a hard time finding it . If you get to big , the knot won't fit in the pulley . If you don't get the right thing , it won't work in the holding block you mount on the rigger . As I remember 1/8 was to small . And it will slip . After a while , what I bought to replace was slipping in that block , so I tied an overhand knot in the right location and that worked .

    Now THERE is some complicated scientific data . My question would be this .... If you can see the level is very low ,and you know it will be below long term average , why would you continue after 3 weeks to increase outflow ? Unless of course you would want it to be low . I feel like I am getting my chain jerked. Or they have no idea what they are doing . That part , I can't figure out .
