T-Falls State Park Tomorrow

Recommended Posts

How did you do at T-Park? If the sawbellies are in at day break, rig up a rod with 3 size 10 or 12 gold trebles with a weight on the bottom( you can use a smelt net if there in good early). Jigg up a couple dozen or so, then run a long rod, like a 10 foot noodle rod with a large slip bobber & a #2 split about a foot above the hook, set the knot at 6 feet under in AM then bring it down as the day wears on, 20 feet by noon! Set up a second rod for fishing the bottom with a 1/2 oz. egg sinker with a 18 inch or so leader! Both rods run 8lb. main line with 6lb. leader with #2 sharp egg hook & hook the sawbellies between the dorsal and the tail area! If you fish over by the swimming docks you can cast to over 60 foot of water. Used to hammer the landlocks, browns & lakers in mid to late June there in the 80's-90's, when I lived in Ithaca! GOOD LUCK NEXT TRIP! Oh forgot leave your bails open & put a pebble on the line to keep the wind from blowing it around. Also can put a little tin foil on your line at your rod tip for the bottom rod as an indicator, when the tin foil runs out-FISH ON!
